The Trilogy of Genocide, Consciousness, and Memory

I am pleased to share with you the launch of my collection of three printed zines under the project "Zines from Gaza" published by Coastal Lines Press.

This collection documents the practices of genocide and erasure while analyzing the mechanics of hegemony and the formation of collective identity.

This collection includes a diverse range of my writings and texts produced during the genocide, observing reality from various economic, political, and humanitarian angles. It is divided into three complementary parts:

Part 1: Against Oblivion: Memoirs of Genocide

Part 2: Re-Engineering Consciousness

Part 3: Memory Shaped by War

These printed zines are a vital contribution to the battle of awareness and documentation, serving as a testament to the memory that colonial machinery attempts to crush.

My Dears!
I have always found writing to be a sanctuary for my scattered thoughts and inner conflicts. I never looked at it as something to display, and I never imagined that one day I would publish any of these words.
But today, I am sharing with you my first writing collection — I Failed to Water It — which carries the memories, events, and anxieties of a soul caught in the clutches of war.

Deep thanks to the truly great community @zinesfromgaza that gave me the opportunity for my words to cross borders.
And special thanks to @leilaboukarim , the angel from whom the idea grew, and who ended up creating this great and incredibly great community.

Thank you to the @scotnational for featuring our Zines from Gaza exhibition at the @palestinemuseumscotland in Edinburgh, and to Coastal Lines Press volunteer Veronica Petrie @scribblesinink for organizing it.

The exhibition was on view from 18 April to 3 May and featured around 30 authors from Coastal Lines Press, whose work shows how writing can be both “a refuge and a form of resistance.” The zines are still on display at the museum for readers to purchase and engage. by @scribblesinink
