I get the feeling that Holbein watercolour is much easier to use… since Daniel smith seems to have very heavy pigments.

Ok I don’t know what I’m taking about lol but I do know that I will be filling the sketchbook with little thumbnail art until I have painted with all of these colours 😎🙂‍↕️

I recently learned the term “painterly style” and that there are five main painting styles: Realism, Impressionism, Expressionism, Abstract Art and Surrealism.

The internet is just an endless library for information, innit?

Also… in other news…

Matlock is finally on Netflix. 👩🏼‍⚖️

Priorities.

First entry in the new 130x185mm sketchbook! 📖🦀 Testing out this format with a loose blue crab study.

I sketched this in red watercolour pencil & then painted it… all while standing... Somehow doing art while standing feels looser and more fun… a little mark here a little dab there yeah don’t overthink it.

This took 40minutes. :)

My shopping finally arrived after 1029373819 days!!! Aren’t these the cutest travel palettes/ sampling kits???? I was surprised to find myself enjoying Holbein…. it dries into really even (flat?) washes.

Beautiful!!! Happy to colour in some boxes between webinars and coffee 🙂

Between decongestants & a drippy nose & feeling perpetually dehydrated I painted flowers at Sosodikon Hill in Sabah & the beautiful lanterns hanging over Jonker street in Malacca
