"Isla had no need for the tides to be kind. Not if she became the storm..."

Dive into a dark fantasy steeped in folklore, magic and monsters, with a heart-aching slow burn romance over three books.

When an ill-fated letter calls Isla Blackwood back to the home she left for the sea, she faces losing everything she once walked away from.

Together with her estranged brother, their protective swordmaster, and a salt-blooded stranger who should be her enemy, Isla must face down the monsters lurking in the mist - and her past - if she is to save what's left with her family and find the belonging she's been searching for.

The Sea of Souls Saga is a vivid, atmospheric dark fantasy steeped in Scottish folklore, ancient magic, and monsters that feel all too familiar.

It was definitely a choice to release my new gothic horror book on Halloween, and I think it was a good choice! Really helped me get into the spirit (pun intended!) 😉

I’ve got a few books under my belt now, but I always like to take the time to celebrate a release. Publishing a book is a result of months (sometimes years) of hard work, from ideas and drafting to editing, formatting and marketing all the way through to release. And once it’s finally out there, it can leave you feeling a little flat. So that’s why I always take the time to try and make it special and have a little fun with it – call me self-indulgent, I’ll take it! 😆🍸🖤

And just like that, everything you’ve been working towards for the last year is out in the world, and all you can do now is sit back and hope people like it. 🥹🖤

This is my first gothic horror, but it’s my eighth book release overall, so you’d think I’d be used to the feeling by now! But there’s always something special about waking up on release day and knowing that something you’ve written, something you’ve created from the spark of an idea, is finally out there.

Her Bloody Vengeance is unlike any other book I’ve written before. It’s a risk, a step out of my comfort zone, but no matter what happens next, I’m glad I took the chance on doing something a bit different. I love all kinds of stories, and I really wanted to dip my toes into a new genre and try my hand at something that I was inspired by. 🥀

Thank you to everyone who has picked up a copy, left a review or word of encouragement, or supported the release in any other way. The indie community has been absolutely wonderful to me over the last five-and-a-bit years, and the build-up to this has been no different.

Whether gothic horror is your thing or not, thank you for taking a chance on me! 🤗 by @scrimscribes

IT’S HERE! 🥳🖤🥀 The doors to Wreymoor Hall are finally open - Her Bloody Vengeance is out now, and I hope it’s just the kind of dark, delicious and devastating book you’re hoping to devour.

I cannot think of a better day than Halloween to celebrate the release of a gothic horror. This is definitely the darkest book I’ve ever written, so it feels strange to say I had so much fun writing it, but it’s the truth! I really enjoyed getting to expand my horizons, explore a new genre and flex my creative muscles by writing something that was totally different to what I’ve done before.

Thank you so much to everyone who pre-ordered a copy and my amazing ARC readers who have been hyping the release with their reviews. I’ve had so much fun over the last few weeks and I hugely appreciate all the support and love! 🖤 by @scrimscribes
