Dorothy Dandridge was our first black sex symbol of her time . She was a american actress who played in Carmen Jones actually playing Carmen got a nomination for the part unfortunately she didn't win. But that didn't stop her from performing and acting in other movies.Yes she also grace the stage with her beautiful voice. So sadly due to the time of racism she didn't get the the treatment she deserves but it stop her. Unfortunately she died in September 8, 1965 without a dime to her name we need to take time and remember this remarkable sister who had to walk threw back doors so other black actresses could walk threw the front door we love her and want forget her Dorothy Dandridge born November 9, 1922 - September 8, 1965 at the age of 42 by @scroggind
