Nike Outdoor Nationals 2026

My NON experience was infinitely better than last year - from fouling out of both of my events last year to putting up respectable marks and even placing second in hammer ee. But I want more.

Don’t get me wrong, I had an incredible experience surrounded by teammates and familiar faces. Alongside meeting new people and making new friends, I saw the best of the best compete and dominate in their respective domains.

When I got a valid throw, and then ultimately medaled, I felt a sense of gratitude and appreciation. But looking back at this fleeting moment, all I can think about is how I wish I could’ve done better. I’m sure all athletes have this mindset, and it is this exact mentality which pushes us to do better.

But as my last high school meet ever, I wonder what place throwing holds in my future. There’s no guarantee I will get a roster spot in college, but this will not deter me. And I won’t let my prolonged travels get in the way either.

What I’m trying to say is I won’t give up without a fight, and it is because of the spirit of my teammates, coaches, and everyone at RCTC who have all aided in my accomplishments.

Thank you to everyone who helped us get to where we are. And thank you for a wonderful ending to my high school throwing career. 😀 🤙
