Sometimes you just have to lab test your setup before taking into the field, and that “sometimes” is an understatement. This monopole and tree setup, actually took some time to get right, and it’s still not complete yet to bring out into the wild. There’s still a tarp ridgeline to rig and a few other things. Still, the nights are hot again, so testing is well welcomed, but the murder of kaw-blasting crows isn’t so much 📢. This setup could have used a little extra R-value too, as the mornings are still chilly with the air robbing heat from below. The air mattress alone, stuffed in my sleeping bag, wasn’t enough to keep me off redlining the edge of cold. Brainstorming another layer of insulation is still in the works, yet the paint-roller extension pole is checked off the list of success! #hammocklife by @scttdmpsy

Wow, it’s been a minute since a post. The calamity of days gone past were enough to have me take a break of the bombardment of the events going on. Well, why not post again. To ya’ll peaking in, life events here ya go. Off work late, but that didn’t stop me from celebrating the summer Solstice on Saturday. Live band and peeps all around, and a soak in the hot tub next to my camp while the sun was coming up. I like savouring moments like these. A nap when most might be grabbing coffee, but up again way before noon to hang with the peeps who were still around. The simple moments with a big splash of nature, is heap of human enjoyment - #hammockcamping taken in Nelson, British Columbia by @scttdmpsy

I dunno, call it what you wish, though for me it was a peculiar errie gut feeling seeing my nation held up in a sort of checkmate. I couldn’t help feeling that we were under siege by a nearly invisible tormentor laughing viciously at our naive gullible false sense of security. As Trudeau was calling Canadian travelers back home, the words “it was fun while it lasted” came to mind and that the experiment of democracy of the True North Strong and Free was no more. It was time to face our captors and await their demands. I know, I know, “why such doom, Scottie”. I am sorry. I wish I am totally wrong and I am just experiencing some character glitch. I really hope I am wrong. I actually wish I could just be happy go lucky, wait this out, take my shots and let it all be over, done with, and move on. Though, I am not such a corruption denier like many. As much as I have so much love for my fellow man, women, and all those between, I understand the pathology of Mankind, and err on the side of caution. Then, so many months later after that first week of inconvenient truth we were declared to be in a pandemic, and my soul sunk into the feeling expressed above, I come across the Biderman’s Chart of Coercion and that gut feeling solidified on a single page leaving me with “the wishy washy confusion only makes sense now” feeling. Who the [excuse my language] is in on this? I so wanted event 201, World Economic Forum nonsense, the dreadful memes of Bill G8s, to be all a silly joke, but it’s way too conveniently verifiably plain to see for my eyes that something strange and sinister is going down. #bidermanschartofcoercion #coercion by @scttdmpsy

The Liberals want to censor the internet. The Bill is sold as a means to protect Canadian talent as it is has always been sold by the CRTC, but this sort of censorship is left wide open for abuse of our Charter Rights, and gives to much over reach of the government to silence what ever does not suit their ideology. Simple little upgrade making my little home gym a little more versatile and quick to flow through different movements. A couple carabiner links and metal rings from the hardware store and gym time becomes that much easier! Anything to allow more movements centred on the while body vibration platform.
