At Scuba Go Komodo, I always believe in one thing: everyone can grow if they are given a chance. In the past, I saw how Onis grew with this team. Today, as a local boy who grew up along these shores, I am living proof of that same story.

My name is Rafly, a native of Labuan Bajo. My journey with Scuba Go Komodo did not start at the top. Before becoming a professional diver, I was just a local intern who was simply excited to learn about the ocean in my own hometown.

My early days here paused for a short time because I had to return to school to finish my final exams. Leaving the sea behind was not easy, but I knew I had to complete my education first.

After my exams were over, life brought me back. I felt so lucky when Scuba Go called me to return and join the family. I started my real job from the ground up as a ground crew worker, helping with daily equipment and boat preparations.

I did my best every single day. Unexpectedly, after just one month of working hard on the ground crew, Scuba Go saw my passion and gave me my first big chance: taking my Open Water Course (OWC) certification.

That first chance changed everything for me. Two months later, as I kept practicing, Scuba Go helped me get my Advanced Open Water (AOWC), Emergency First Response (EFR), and Rescue Diver certifications.

For a full year, I worked hard as part of the ground crew while honing my diving skills in the water. Finally, the moment I dreamed of arrived—Scuba Go gave me their full trust to join the Dive Master Training (DMT).

Looking back at this journey, my heart is full of gratitude. The local intern who started from zero is now a full Dive Master at Scuba Go Komodo, guiding divers through the beautiful waters of my own home.
