Hi everyone! Confused? Sorry. I decided to convert my page from my personal insta to mine and my moms project child and business, SculptHER 🥰 Follow along if you’d like. We’d love to have you 💗 - Evi

How and why did we start this? Well, we realized the gender gap in sculptural art back in 2018 and decided to change that! Who better than a family of Greeks whose original business started off making Greek mythological statue artifacts for tourists to take home from Athens (@statuesdotcom)? 😉

A statistic shows that out of 764 public sculptural pieces across the United States, less than half are are real women. Most are nameless muses - think Lady Liberty, Three Graces. What about the women in world history who have advanced society for the better? Their faces, stories, and accomplishments deserved to be recognized.

To highlight their contributions, we make hand-sculpted marble statues of historically badass women who otherwise are difficult to find represented in art! Our goal is to create one new bust of an under-recognized woman each month for 2 years, on top of our 12 already sculpted women. That’s 36 statues of women we are adding to the art world for future generations to enjoy and learn about 🥰

So! Lets talk about women representation in sculpture + art. But most importantly!! - join me as I share the stories and marble statues we create of women throughout history whose accomplishments have been overshadowed by the patriarchy 💥

We shape women’s history through sculpture 💗

Our ladies taking up space on our shelves. As they deserve.

Our goal is to amplify women’s representation in art. No more will art only honor nameless muses (uh… Statue of Liberty, angels, goddesses???). Real women who have propelled society towards growth deserved to be recognized.

We’ll keep posting their stories until we’ve highlighted and sculpted them all 😉

We’re on a mission to create an 8-inch marble statue of every extraordinary woman throughout history whose achievements have been overshadowed by history. We will speak to their unimaginable strengths, bravery, determination, and unrelenting passions in the hopes of inspiring women around the world. Our recreation of Ida B. Wells -Barnett serves as one example of the beautiful busts to come!

We hope that our statues are used as art and serve as educational pieces on the women whose achievements have been overshadowed by history.

These statues will be available for purchase via our Etsy page and Statues.com.

During our recent trip to the east coast, I had the honor of sitting down with the great-great-granddaughter of Elizabeth Cady Stanton—one of the incredible women featured in our SculptHer Collection. It was such a meaningful conversation, bridging past and present in a way that left me in awe.

We reflected on how she shared family photos of Elizabeth, offering us a glimpse into her younger years. Using those images, we created a bust that captures her youthful spirit—a version of her that often gets overlooked but reminds us of the energy and passion that fueled her historic achievements.

We also talked about something so important: how women like Elizabeth haven’t traditionally been represented in the public sphere. That’s what the SculptHer Collection is all about—bringing these incredible women into the public spaces of America, where their contributions can inspire generations to come.

It’s a privilege to honor women like Elizabeth Cady Stanton, who fought tirelessly for equality and shaped the course of history. To have her great-great-granddaughter’s input and blessing made this piece of herstory even more special.

Let’s keep honoring the women who built the world we live in today. 💪✨

Amelia Earhart was the first female aviator to fly solo across the Atlantic Ocean, proving to her peers that women were capable of achieving the same feats as men. ✈️

Here’s some facts about her life:
~ Set multiple aviation records, including the first woman to fly solo above 14,000 feet and the first woman to fly solo across the Pacific Ocean.

~ Her passion for aviation led her to found the Ninety-Nines, an international organization of female pilots aimed at promoting women in aviation and advancing their opportunities in the field.

~ Amelia was also a writer and journalist, penning several books on her aviation experiences and contributing to various publications.

~ Amelia was an advocate for women’s rights and a supporter of the Equal Rights Amendment. She used her platform to encourage women to pursue their dreams and break societal norms and barriers.

Her disappearance during her attempted flight around the world in 1937 has remained a mystery, but her legacy as a trailblazing aviator and feminist icon lives on and accomplishments inspired countless women to pursue careers in aviation and other male-dominated fields.

She paved the way for future generations of female aviators and demonstrated that with courage, determination, and perseverance, anything is possible.

Amelia Earhart’s legacy continues to inspire us to reach for the skies!

Thank you to @ameliaearhartofficial for all the photos of her💗
