___

14 days working with marble on the Black Sea coast.
I created this portrait of Ivan Aivazovsky during an international sculpture symposium in Alupka. It will later become a monument to the artist.
More of the process in the next video.

"Armata Teneritas" (Armed Tenderness)
Copyright Igor Zhigulin, 2026

She is gentle and fragile, like the first spring bud. Her thorns are not aggression, but a way to protect her innermost world from cruelty. Anyone who approaches her with rudeness will inevitably get hurt. But I came with an open heart — and she bestowed upon me love and endless tenderness…

Planned: Bronze, Ed. of 12 (8+4 AP). The sculptor is seeking investment for bronze casting. by @sculptor_artists
