Finally revived the Alleined bass arc to spend July 4th with @slanderofficial x @nghtmre as they hosted Pacha’s first-ever bass music show @pachaofficialnyc

When the news of Pacha taking over first came out, I was intrigued to know if they’d ever book non-house/techno shows. So when this show was announced, I ofc knew I couldn’t miss it for my second Pacha NYC trip (following @solomun a few weeks ago)

Have seen @nghtmre and @slanderofficial several times before but not in years (had seen them go b2b once before in 2019). July 4th traffic out of the city was brutal so we ended up making it in later than intended but still managed to see the end of @nghtmre’s solo set (him ripping a Garrix edit as we got inside was fate), followed by @slanderofficial solo, the b2b (wall of death on slide 20) and then @perrywaynemusic to close (sadly missed @omgcontrolfreak and @nejvex opening). The entire night was electric and I genuinely always have the greatest time at bass shows during the occasional times I go to them

I had a good first impression of Pacha from Solomun so I was wondering how this would follow given it was a completely different type of show. Definitely felt more crowded than Solomun (both shows were sold out) despite the weather and we weren’t really able to get towards the middle (as seen by some off-center vids) but thankfully it worked out with going up to the back platform (it’s GA access and limited capacity but didn’t have to wait long to get up). I was once again impressed by the production (especially given these artists are more visual focused) and seeing the LED wall really put to use for the first time. Hoping this is the first of many bass music shows at Pacha NYC
