Miss Massive Snowflake’s idiosyncratic songs range from grooving indie pop, to lyrical atmospheric chillers, and bangers with crunchy riffs. The six piece band will be coming off a weekend of CO shows, and should be in fine form. Join us Saturday, May 16 from 10 AM–4 PM at the Yellowstone Art Museum for the 4th Annual Sketchbook Symposium! Spend the day exploring creativity through free workshops, live demonstrations, collaborative sketching, and open studio opportunities with artists including Beth Korth, Shane DeLeon, Anne Holub, Dawn Nelson, Nancy Petersen, Brittney Hernandez, and Katherine Jore. Whether you’re an experienced artist or just beginning your sketchbook journey, this event is designed to inspire all levels of creativity.

Be sure to register for the special “Focused Visual Journaling” workshop with artist Katherine Jore from 1–6 PM in the Visible Vault. It’s always a pleasure to be back at the Casbah. My first time there in 1991, I was 20 years old and snuck in with a #fakeid to see #themelvins with #granfaloonbus and even drew the poster for the gig. Love seeing all the old fliers like for #Galaxy500 and #LiquidSunshine, which was a killer show, and of course, I adore the poster for Crash Worship in the green room. The best live band ever! Lucky enough to see them a bunch back in the day. The Pink Panther was the mid 80s precursor to The Casbah, and the legend lives on in the merch booth. Thanks to @mrmazee for keeping Rock and Roll alive in San Diego for like 40+ years. Tour’s over. Thanks. by @sdeleons
