A post last week from one of the families we support.

I just wanted to say another massive Thank you to Southampton Doing It For The Kids for providing Jayden with his sats monitor that we use overnight. Last night Jayden had another seizure which ended up with him in PICU ventilated again after a blue lighted drive to hospital with assistance from the air ambulance doctors. Jayden was asleep in bed and his monitor started alarming to say his oxygen levels had dropped and when I went to check on him he appeared to be gasping for breath, I got him out of bed and he went straight into his seizure, if he didn’t have this monitor I wouldn’t have known anything was wrong as I had literally checked on him 15 minutes before all of this and he was sound asleep so I then went to bed. Unfortunately we didn’t get to test out the embrace watch as he wasn’t wearing it as it was being charged at the time but just the monitor alone was an amazing help last night!! by @sdiftk

We support young people with additional needs, and their families, all from the SO post code area.
All money we raise is used directly to help those who we are supporting, with specialist equipment, respite care, therapies, support for their specialist placements, and also for days out for the kids and their siblings.
