Today I want to share two recordings made in a church Stevenskerk in Nijmegen. @ambermeulenijzer turned the church into a massive sound installation by placing metal horn speakers and a metal plate capturing all the vibrations inside of this historical building. I sat there to feed the plate with my diy hurdy-gurdy plugged into a guitar amp feeding the plate with drones and melodies. https://sdsdsd.cloud/resonant-space More information and a link to recordings can be found on my website taken in Stevenskerk Nijmegen by @sdsdsd.cloud

Asifeh - Hip-Hop/Arabic/Electronic

Asifeh (also known as Stormtrap) is a producer/rapper based between Vienna and Ramallah. His music consists of rap vocals, sampled material, and original compositions using modern and abandoned technologies. He is co-founder of the former Ramallah Underground collective, who laid the foundations for a booming underground music scene in Palestine, active during the years 2003 - 2009

Maya Al Khaldi presents Boka’yat relived – Folklore / Voice / Mourning

Boka'yat reLived is a live performance of a work-in-progress by Maya al Khaldi, where she sings Morning Songs, a dying Palestinian tradition. Maya composes melodies for otherwise unknown songs found in books and archives, in order to mourn the loss of the past few years and experiments by attempting to attach an imagination to a future of a tradition that was once essential in the process of mourning and grief in Palestine.

Sergei Demin – Speech synthesis / Drone / Sound design

Sergei Demin is a Siberian-born, Netherlands-based (Gelderland) multidisciplinary artist working at the intersection of sound design, technology and experimental music. He focuses on the 'weirdness' of synthetic voices and the 'un-human' quality of modern communication. In his current practices he's mixing human history and machine future by bringing a medieval instrument Hurdy-Gurdy and 'uncanny valley' voices of text-to-speech engines together.

Rouzbeh Shadpey - Plunderphonics / Electroacoustic / Experimental

Rouzbeh Shadpey (fka GOLPESAR) is a multidisciplinary artist, writer, and musician who emerged from Montréal’s experimental music scene in the mid-2010s. Ritornello at Love’s End—Shadpey’s first LP, and first release under his own name—signals a desire for reconciliation between the various strands of Shadpey’s artistic practice.

Please welcome: Sergei Demin⚡️

Great review in latest @gonzocircus magazine about @sdsdsd.cloud's album 'Digi-Tongue Twister' which came out recently! Still some ltd. edition items available by the way ➡️ escrec.bandcamp.com

"... zorgvuldig gearrangeerde, lang aaneengesloten, stotterende letterreeksen met intrigerend geluidsontwerp en grappige meta-uitspraken [...] die de onvolmaaktheden van de huidige kunstmatige intelligentie feilloos blootleggen."

Two new very special pre-orders up today! This is the first one.

'Digi-Tongue Twister' by Sergei Demin (@sdsdsd.cloud) comes out on July 19th and is presented live on July 21st at @deperifeer in Deventer 🔗 perifeer.org

This album is a crossover between the worlds of sound poetry and primitive text-to-speech generators. And it's awesome 🔥

The album is released in two different (very very limited!) editions: 5 x 5" clear lathe cut record with a unique ceramic sculpture by Mayana Nasybullova (@mayanamayanamayana), and 10 x 5" clear lathe cut record without a sculpture but with close-up photos of the sculptures on the labels. The album is also available as a download only release. In this pre-order you can pre-listen the two tracks featured on the lathe cut.

Much more(!) info + pre-order 🔗 escrec.bandcamp.com

Don't wait too long, one of five sculptures with 5” lathe cut is already sold!
