Happy #NewMemberMonday with @elliebalanoff 💟☁️

Going into rush, I kept an open mind and just hoped to find a sisterhood where I truly belonged. Growing up with a younger brother, I always leaned on my mom for those “sisterly” moments, so I knew finding that kind of bond at Syracuse meant everything to me. From the moment I walked into SDT on the first day of rush, my nerves disappeared and I felt completely like myself. Every conversation felt so genuine, and every girl I met was kind, welcoming, and made me feel right at home.

I feel so lucky to be part of SDT and surrounded by such an incredible group of girls. I’m beyond excited for what the next three years will bring for all of us. Living in the house next year is something I’ve been looking forward to, and I can’t wait to keep building friendships and making memories. I know we are going to have the best time!!

I truly can’t put into words how grateful I am for my friends. You’ve all made my freshman year so incredibly special, and I don’t know what I would’ve done without you. Everyone always says things change second semester, which is both exciting and scary, but I feel so lucky that we’ve all stayed together through it all. It honestly doesn’t feel real that we all get to share this experience, and I’m so excited to see what is ahead for us here!

To my fam- my big @meganpaletz , I don’t know how I went so long without you. I never realized how much I needed someone like you in my life until we met, and I can proudly say you’ll be my best friend forever. @sloanebrown_ , even though our time together here is short, you made me feel so comfortable and welcomed me into this family with open arms. You’re amazing and I can’t wait to see all the things you do. @shelbyrichh , I haven’t even met you yet and I already know we’re going to have the best time together. Your energy is unmatched and I can’t wait for endless days together when you’re back from Barcelona.
