We used to say “I adore you,” back before we ever admitted to loving each other. It’s was such a safe route, to dampen the affection for fear of rejection or criticism. It’s silly, looking back, if I could change it I would. I’d admit it in that first week with him, I’d blurt it out in one sheer moment of bravery, and he’d smile his bright and beautiful smile and say it back to me. It didn’t happen like that though, but it doesn’t matter, we got there eventually. Now I get to feel this incredible weight of blessing every time I tell him I love him. And yet I still feel like these words aren’t enough, I could say it for years and it wouldn’t touch the depths of my feelings for him. He loves me in ways beyond what I deserve every single day, he is the best man I could ever imagine. I am so proud of all he is and all he does, for me and for his family and for the world. He deserves the absolute best day today. So you all better wish him happy birthday 🔫 by @seabelle_99

Three years ago today we went on our first date to a restaurant (which has since been closed down) and then walked around town to the fountain (which has since been paved over) but UNLIKE those two things my love for you is still alive and thriving my darling.
