The new branded ring for @magnumicecreamco / @streetsicecream is looking great in the water! Our philosophy is that if you are a part of the problem (branded litter) you should be a part of the solution. Who is Sydney Harbour’s biggest polluter? It’s actually kinda obvious because a highly concentrated area with a lot of people will always result in waste leakage, no matter how good your waste services are. @cityofsydney , @clovermoore we would like your support in keeping the harbour cleaner please. @tanyaplibersek , @pennysharpemlc as ministers of environment, surely you cannot think the amount of microplastics and plastic pollution in Sydney Harbour is acceptable? taken in Sydney, Australia by @seabin_project

Through our incredible partnership with John Holland CPB Contractors Ghella Joint Venture, we've been able to keep making a huge impact together in Sydney Harbour.⁠
⁠
Since this partnership began back in August 2025, we've filtered over 46 million litres of water and captured and removed more than 45 thousand plastic items and 31 thousand microplastics.⁠

Together, we're keeping Sydney Harbour cleaner and making a real impact on our oceans.⁠

Our Seabins can filter up to 1.3 MILLION litres of seawater a day. Each one runs 24/7, quietly skimming the top layer of water where the litter floats, pulling in 55,000 litres every hour.⁠

Right now we have 21 units in and around Sydney Harbour, working around the clock to capture plastics, microplastics, fibres and even oils and fuel residues before they spread out to sea!⁠

Since July 2025, our partnership with @sydneyairport has pulled over 531 kg of litter out of Alexandra Canal before it could reach the ocean.⁠
That is across three litter extractions, with a fourth locked in for later this month.⁠
⁠
Here is what that 531kg actually looks like once it hits the Ocean Health Lab:⁠

339,113 of those microplastics⁠
