It’s Oyster Happy Hour again tonight, so you know what that means—great oysters at a great price!🍻🦪✨On tap tonight, we’ve got Little Stars from the waters of Pamlico Sound. Some of you shell flippers (@inahalfshellist 😉) may have noticed these oysters looking particularly beautiful lately and you’re not wrong! The folks at @littlestar_oysterfarm have recently brought New Zealand’s FlipFarm system to their farm, allowing them to work smarter, not harder. The system works with the oysters’ growth cycle to naturally tumble, flip, and dry each shell to perfection. This new process leads to stronger, deeper shells and stronger adductor muscles—building up glycogen in a tightly sealed shell for a sweeter, cleaner tasting oyster. Oyster farmers can’t control what Mother Nature brings to the table, but they can—and do—put in the work to care for them along the way. We so appreciate the innovative ways the team over at Little Stars Oyster Farm keeps their oysters fresh, consistent, and more delicious than ever 🩵Stop in tonight from 5 to 6pm in the bar area only for $1-per-shell oysters. Seating is first come, first served—so bring a little umbrella and get here a little early! by @seabirdnc

The beautiful and briny sea bean 🌿🫛🌱At Seabird, you’ll see these little guys everywhere—accompanying oysters, garnishing salads, even pulverized into a powder and sprinkled over crudo. They’re salt tolerant succulents that naturally grow in marshlands along the coast. We get ours from the UNCW Aquaculture Program—the same farm where some of our Black Bass is raised. Originally the folks over at UNCW were growing them as part of a closed loop aquaponic cycle, filtering the water that the bass swim in through plant fertilization. As soon as our chefs tasted them while touring the facility, they became a tasty staple on our plates! Sea beans are great sources of vitamins A, B, and C as well as calcium, magnesium, and iodine. They’re said to provide antioxidants and boost the immune system—plus they’re salty and delicious. We’re so appreciative of the work that the UNCW Aquaculture researchers do to forefront environmental responsibility while driving mariculture technology forward. They’ll be bringing a fresh crop through our doors soon—come try them for yourself!📸 @mallorybcash by @seabirdnc

We might be a little biased, but this is some pretty beautiful waiting-in-line-for-dollar-oysters weather ☀️🦪🍻Tonight from 5 to 6pm in our bar area only, we’re serving Seabirdies from @holdfastoysterco. These oysters are a little saltier than we’re used to coming out of the New River—a testament to the ever changing conditions in our local waters. Stop in and try them yourself for only a dollar a shell ✨Remember seating is first come, first served—so get out here a little early and enjoy the sunshine!📸 @andrewsherman by @seabirdnc
