mixed media freehand.

The blue shape was painted first, followed by the pink background. The rectangles were then cut and pasted around the blue shape once everything dried

I had no prior goal for the blue shape. I chose to leave it ambiguous after abandoning the idea of turning it into an octopus. I chose to center an illustration of a human to give the viewer's eye a focal point but after completion, i still found my eyes drawn to the blue shape.

The variety of colored rectangles (in the background) was done purposefully to reflect the many running monologues of the mind. Overall, the piece turned out as a reflection of an internal conversation. The human illustration being the mind that hosts this conversation

The illustrated character is not my work, but everything else is by @seag_limpse

'Be The Bridge'

•

Analog collage using magazine cutouts from the 'October/November 2025' issue of 'Mendip Living' and the 'March 2026, Issue 191, Premiere Edition' of 'Monocle'

•

This piece started as another freehand collage after completing a collage I created for a friend. I had creative energy and magazine cutouts left over and decided to put them to use.

Using scrap images, I was throwing together a piece I simply thought looked appealing, there was no prior aim. As the piece came together, I realised it looked almost identical to another collage I created in 2021 (it can be found in this page). I find it interesting when that happens, it was completely unintentional

Perhaps a version of a self-portrait, this collage could be seen as providing a visualisation of the barrier between who we want to be and who we are. by @seag_limpse

I've spent the last 3 years studying Psychology in the UK, which has meant my art took a backseat. As I'm nearing the end of my degree, i'm finding that balance again between academia and creative expression

This collage is one of my first new pieces, a rework of an old photo taken in Florence, Italy. Acrylic paint was used to frame the centre image, surrounding images are from home decor magazines by @seag_limpse
