AI Detection simply does not work.
OpenSource models without water marking are too high-quality in producing realistic photo and video to be detected both with the human eye or algorithmic methods.

What we need is certifiably real photo and video creation tools like we’re building here at Seal. by @sealsecured

One of the most important personality characteristics today is humility.

It’s easier than ever to FEEL like an expert, even when we are still VERY novice in a subject.

find real experts, always question your confidence (it should be proceeded by competence) and don’t be afraid to ask questions that reveal your ignorance, as they are exactly how you feel those gaps.

This also applies to media and literacy. we assume that after listening to an influencer talk about a subject that we suddenly know it well, while in fact there’s a whole series of due diligence questions we should ask ourself. who is this person, and what authority do they have? What logic is being applied? Are there any fallacies involved? What biases am I coming to the table with? who else has reported on this, and what is the intellectual lineage this is a part of? Is this argument compelling because of the charisma and passion of the speaker, or because of the substance of the material?

Meta lost the plot (as if they ever had it)
between Camera equipped classes that allow creepers to silently and perpetually record you to automating the process of deep fake generation, they’re doubling down on surveillance and misinformation tool development.

They are luckily some cool ways to protect yourself,

Amazon attracted customers with low prices and free shipping,

With the wealth of customers, Amazon attracted retailers who wanted to sell those customers.

With all that product specification and sales data, Amazon went and copied the best selling products and made them even cheaper, running those retailers out of business.

The same thing is happening with AI,

Social media brought a huge number of people together, which attracted small businesses and creators.

But every time you post (unless you are very diligent about changing buried settings) your content is being used to train AI models that now enable the creation of content without any creator at all.

This will allow the platform to produce content that attracts and retains users where they get to benefit from the content rather than the creator.

That US ban on AI regulation was stripped from the bill, but when it was considered and backed by the president and GOP it clearly signaled their intent, push it to the limit, consequences be damned

The EU has taken a measured approach, allowing for the implementation of AI in many areas, but putting a framework together that restricts it in place where harm can be done.

This IS the better strategy
