Jiu Jitsu salva. It can be summed up in that small statement. We don’t need to expose all of our battles but just letting you know that Jiu Jitsu has been the catalyst in most of my healing process. If I can help one person through this discipline, then im on the right track. The sport aspect doesn’t make up 1% of the discipline. I still have some work to do on how to talk in front of the camera. This week i decided to work up some courage and talk on my brother, Anthony and share how i was able to cope with my loss. I don’t talk about my personal life much, especially online but being an owner of a gym and being in a position to be around others that have issues as well, I think it’s an obligation of mine to let people know that I found a way to help myself and it can benefit even the most lost individuals find some peace and rest. It’s possible that this violent art doesn’t do it for you but it may be something that doesn’t have to be destructive to your mental health or physical is my point. You can find peace where you least expect it. The month of October is his birthday and that is the month I opened up my gym officially for its grand opening in 2023. Obviously the “go harder” answer, I have by default. I’m just curious more how are my bjj guys / gals getting in that zone on the mat. If you are intentional , is it an every day occurrence you’re in that zone Etc. this is a snippet of today’s practice earlier this morning.
