Finishing 20th Century Boys almost sent me into a total reading slump, but I’ve actually been on a roll lately thanks to a stacked TBR.

Here are a few of favourite panels from some of recent reads.

The Bugle Call, DanDaDan, Centuria, Gachiakuta and The Blood-Crawling Princess of a Ruined Country.

Striving for enlightenment through the way of the sword, Miyamoto Musashi is willing to cut down anyone who stands between him and his pursuit of greatness.

Meanwhile, Sasaki Kojirō, a deaf-mute young man growing up in a remote seaside village, possesses an extraordinary natural talent for the sword. Driven to push his abilities even further, he leaves behind the peace of his home and ventures into the violent, chaotic world of feudal Japan, where a bloody war awaits.

Two swordsmen. Two very different paths. One journey towards greatness.

⚠️ PLEASE READ BELOW ⚠️

First off, a massive thank you to everyone who’s been liking, sharing and commenting on my posts. Over the last 8 months, regularly hitting 500 to 1,000+ likes has honestly been pretty insane, especially considering I barely post reels or video content.

However, with that has also come a fair bit of imposter syndrome, so I’ve been trying to slow things down and stop feeling like every post or story has to be perfect. I’m a massive perfectionist, to the point where the “one photo” you see on my story might have started as 100 photos in my gallery while I try to find the perfect shot. I know that probably isn't healthy, so I’ve been trying to care a little less about making everything perfect.

Naturally, that somehow turned into this project which has taken me well over a month to put together!

Manga has had a pretty big impact on me over the years, and there are so many panels and moments that have stayed with me for completely different reasons. Some are pure hype, others emotional, dramatic, quietly powerful, or incredible examples of artwork and composition. I wanted to put some of those together and talk about why they mean something to me, because I genuinely believe manga can change the way you think and even the way you see the world.

Sometimes a single panel can say more than pages of dialogue, and that’s what I wanted to showcase here.

I’ve spent a ridiculous amount of time waffling on about each one, so I don't expect anyone to read everything. But maybe save this one for a rainy day and have a read through some of my completely unsolicited analysis/introspection.

There are loads of other series and moments I could have included, and I’ve already got ideas for part 2 and 3. Although, considering how long this took, I might need an intervention before I start another one.

So, with all that said, enjoy the post.

PS. I’ve also been experimenting with making the first slide a short title card style video. I have absolutely no idea how it’s going to look once Instagram gets hold of it, so fingers crossed it doesn't completely mess everything up.

Happy Sunday, peeps!

I’ve been trying to get this post up for over a week, but with the summer holidays, kids and a healthy dose of procrastination… I just haven’t had the chance.

Anyway, it’s been a pretty busy few weeks, from Comic Con and a couple of cinema trips to see The Odyssey and Spider-Man, to a day out in London.

So, here’s a little look at what I’ve been up to lately, along with a few of the things I’ve picked up along the way.

I got this sick desk mat from @thedogtagco at mcm comicon ... This is my fourth one from them now. Amazing designs and great quality prints!

Couldn’t resist adding another one to the collection.

ℂ𝕠𝕞𝕚𝕔 ℂ𝕠𝕟 - 𝔻𝕖𝕤𝕜 𝕄𝕒𝕥 ℂ𝕝𝕠𝕤𝕖𝕣 𝕃𝕠𝕠𝕜

ℂ𝕠𝕞𝕚𝕔 ℂ𝕠𝕟 𝔸𝕣𝕥 ℙ𝕣𝕚𝕟𝕥𝕤

I also got some art prints from Comic Con that i'll be adding to my man cave. The artwork on these is insane.

Grabbed this Rengoku print.

ℂ𝕠𝕞𝕚𝕔 ℂ𝕠𝕟 𝔸𝕣𝕥 ℙ𝕣𝕚𝕟𝕥 - ℍ𝕒𝕨𝕜𝕤

Had to cop this Hawks print too!

ℂ𝕠𝕞𝕚𝕔 ℂ𝕠𝕟 𝔸𝕣𝕥 ℙ𝕣𝕚𝕟𝕥 - 𝕊𝕙𝕠𝕥𝕠 𝕋𝕠𝕕𝕠𝕣𝕠𝕜𝕚𝕚

... and my boy Shoto Todoroki.

ℂ𝕚𝕟𝕖𝕨𝕠𝕣𝕝𝕕 ℂ𝕠𝕞𝕚𝕔 ℂ𝕠𝕟 𝔹𝕠𝕠𝕥𝕙

The Cineworld booth was giving away loads of freebies, so obviously I had to grab a few.

Picked up some posters, a bag, and some cool Spider-Man and Project Hail Mary pins.

Can’t complain when it’s free!

𝕋𝕣𝕒𝕧𝕖𝕝𝕝𝕚𝕟𝕘 𝕄𝕒𝕟 𝔹𝕠𝕠𝕥𝕙 - 𝔾𝕒𝕟𝕟𝕚𝕓𝕒𝕝 𝕍𝕠𝕝 𝟝

I managed to pick up Gannibal Volume 5 from the travelling man booth. Im really this series and the cover is creep AF!

My latest manga haul ready to be shelved as soon as this heat subsides...

𝕀𝕞𝕞𝕖𝕣𝕤𝕚𝕧𝕖 ℝ𝕖𝕒𝕕𝕚𝕟𝕘 - 𝕍𝕚𝕔𝕚𝕠𝕦𝕤 𝕓𝕪 𝕍.𝔼. 𝕊𝕔𝕙𝕨𝕒𝕓

I’ve been trying out a bit of immersive reading with Vicious by V.E. Schwab, and I’ve been really enjoying it so far.

It’s giving me serious X-Men and Heroes vibes. Superpowered characters, morally grey personalities and plenty of tension.

Definitely a series I’m looking forward to diving further into!

I don't think I need to say much about my manga collection. I've been collecting for about seven years now and I'm slowly creeping towards 900 volumes. It's a curated collection of my favourites, and I try to keep it that way for the sake of both space and my wallet.

Vagabond was the first physical manga I ever picked up, and it's still my favourite of all time. A lot of that comes down to the memories tied to it. I started reading the first volume a few days before my first son was born, and I finished it while he was asleep on my chest.

That's the thing about physical media. It's not just the story you're collecting, it's the memories that come with it.

Happy Sunday! I hope everyone's doing well.

With everything going on with Sony and its continued push toward a more digital future for gaming, I thought it would be the perfect time to share my physical media collection.

Here's everything I'm currently collecting:

📚 Manga • 🎞️ Anime • 💿 Steelbooks • 🎵 Vinyls

To me, physical media is about more than just collecting, it's about ownership, preservation, and the memories attached to them. As the son of a DJ there's something special about holding and placing a vinyl on turntable, flipping through manga, or displaying a steelbook on a shelf that a digital library just can't replicate.

As more companies move towards a digital only ecosystems, preserving physical media feels more important than ever. Digital purchases depend on licenses and online storefronts, but a physical copy is truly yours to own, revisit, preserve, and share.

Whether it's manga, anime, vinyl, or steelbooks, I'm proud to keep building a collection that I know I'll be able to enjoy for years to come.

Long live physical media. 📀📚🎶

My anime collection is my smallest collection and again consists of some of favourites. I've recently been watching 'Your Name' and some of my favourite episodes of 'My Hero Academia' when the kids are around.

I almost passed on this deck when it was available for pre-order, but seeing it in person, I'm so glad I pulled the trigger. Now I'm torn between hanging it in my man cave or displaying it alongside my manga collection. Luckily, it won't be an issue for long since I've already pre-ordered the God Hand deck too.

A slightly different post today, but it still shows off part of my manga collection!

I've finally got my work/gaming setup to a place where I'm really happy with it. I mounted my ultrawide monitor to the desk, moved my 4K Blu-ray steelbook collection onto the shelves underneath, and spent way too long sorting out the cable management so there isn't a single cable on show.

I've still got a few ideas for it, like adding some desk accessories, putting up some artwork, and adding a bit of ambient lighting, but I'm really happy with how it's all coming together so far.

A BOY WHO COULDN'T HEAR THE WORLD LEARNED TO SPEAK THROUGH THE BLADE ⚔️

Vagabond Definitive Edition Vol. 5 steps away from Musashi's journey to tell the story of Sasaki Kojirō's origins. Rather than relying on grand battles, this volume tells a quiet, emotional story about how an isolated child grows into one of history's most legendary swordsmen.

The overarching theme of this volume is about finding your place in the world despite being different. It's quiet, reflective and explores identity, loneliness, freedom, and the paths that lead ordinary people to become legends. It's a powerful reminder that some of the most unforgettable journeys begin not with conflict, but with silence.

Hope everyone’s had a great Sunday! ☀️

It’s been a busy week, so I haven’t had as much time to sit down and read as I’d like. Thankfully, I’ve got some great manga lined up to catch up on starting next week.

With all the driving I’ve been doing lately, I’ve been getting through a few audiobooks instead. I’m currently listening to the Harry Potter: Full Cast Editions, and I’ve also just started the first audiobook in the Dungeon Crawler Carl series, both have been great so far.

I also attended my very first AnimeCon on Friday, which was a fun experience! I managed to pick up a few things while I was there, and I’ve got a very cool item arriving tomorrow that I’m looking forward to sharing with you all.

Keep an eye on the page over the next few days... 👀

Here are a few of my favourite story posts that were too good to disappear after 24 hours. At this point, my archives are carrying harder than my feed, so these are officially getting permanent placement.

Enjoy! 🫶
