Valle Blanche this winter. Such a cool mountain - for the uninitiated Valle Blanche is a 20km single run that takes the famous Aguilli d’Midi lift up Mt. Blanc. You descend down a glacier navigating crevasses and ice flows to make it to Mer d’Glace. If you need a guide - @danielpobeguide was our guide and took these amazing photos. by @sean.smith.fly

Happy Birthday to my lovely wife @abexalate (which still feels weird to say). To celebrate we flew the whole family up to Denali base camp. The otter fit two sets of parents and @evanlewis.expedition tagged along and took these incredible photos. by @sean.smith.fly

Scorpion Bay 2024 🇲🇽 trip is now in the books. The highlight was definitely the amazing group of family and friends we went with but also:
1. We flew into an airport that Phil spent the last 8 years getting permits for and building - it recently opened in 2022.
2. Arriving to Tequila and quesadillas at the airport
3. Alex almost losing the tip of her pinky in a freak surfing accident and having to fly to the nearest hospital in La Paz to get it re-attached
4. Riding quads around town and breaking down multiple times. So much fun!
5. Force disconnecting from cell phones and spending time with people due to lack of cell signal and consistent power ⚡️ by @sean.smith.fly

Alaska has been a blast so far - such a wild experience in so many ways. We’ve grown a lot in the past few months. Some highlights:
1. Super cubbing - we got the privilege of flying around low and slow. We traded the 150kt Mooney for a 75 kt cub and we couldn’t be more stoked.
2. Snagging for salmon - the way we were fishing was called “snagging” - you don’t use bait, just a hook and you hook the salmon in the shallows as they swim upstream. A much more aggressive and fun version of fishing.
3. Wild berry picking - so many fresh berries 15 mins from our house. We made (well Alex made) lemon blueberry pound cake from all the fresh blueberries. taken in Alaska by @sean.smith.fly

The last few weeks have been filled with meeting wonderful people and getting up to some crazy adventures in Alaska. We’ve been having too much fun to post on Instagram. Luckily a few cloudy days made this post possible. by @sean.smith.fly

Annual mountain climbing season in Washington, first climb of the year Squawk route up Mt Baker. Had to go up early and test out the conditions for @abexalate. Slept 3 hours in the van then 11 hours car to car, 8.5 up and the rest down. Skiing is great. taken in Mount Baker by @sean.smith.fly
