I’ve struggled to find many words to say after the Summer season ended for the last time for this 2027 Group. It hurt like hell to watch these guys finish the circuit and end their Summer Ball Careers with us. While it was one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do, in the moment I realized that we got everything we could have ever wanted out of them… and that was for it to mean something to them. It was truly special despite the disappointment, to see them embrace one another as if they would never see each other again, an emotion that only comes out when you truly care.

I’ve spent nearly a decade coaching in this age group. There is such a negative connotation around this industry for whatever reason but this is something people lose sight of. There are so many more coaches and players not in this picture who have made coaching this class special. I have spent thousands of hours and hundreds of days on the road with these families… with MY family. It seems like there is an infinite amount of memories.

My vision for Performance Baseball back in 2014 stood right in front of me this Summer… which was the Summer of my Life! Coaching these guys under the rejuvenation of Performance Baseball was everything! Because of this group, we were able to build a reputable National Organization in a matter of months, and we are in the top 1% in the Country as far as opportunities provided and it all stemmed from this group trusting us before PB was even concrete.

To the players and their families thank you for unwavering trust and support. You have all made me a better coach and person. I am truly thankful from the bottom of my heart to be a part of your lives. A blessing I will never forget!

If you know me more than the average person, then you know I’m not good at times like these. It will take me some time to get over it. I’ve learned a lot over the years from these guys but never more than I did this Summer. I’ve never been more proud!

One last time for the Brew Crew!

Love you guys!

Our first catcher’s group was great! Working on pocket presentation and accurately matching pitch shapes. Next catcher’s workout is tonight, building the backbones of every team!

X2 ATHLETE SPOTLIGHT: @beckettd_

Been a productive couple of months with Beckett. He was very limited when he came to us due to lack of mobility. Big focus was moving better and becoming a more mobile athlete. @kylejacksic was instrumental in opening up new ranges. From that, velocity has steadily improved. Excited to see continued development from Beckett. taken in X2 Baseball by @sean__thomas22

X2 ATHLETE SPOTLIGHT: @_russberger

Russ came to us at @x2_baseball a year ago as a blank slate. Decent mover with a ton to dream on. We put together a plan for long term development. Russ has followed it with unwavering confidence. @kylejacksic and @christianbsball laid the foundation for us to build a monster. We are very excited for Russ’ recent commitment to @culionsbaseball.

1) Day 1 at X2.

2) The smallest glimpse into the process for Russ.

One hell of a ride this summer. The most resilient group I have been around. Talented, tough and a bunch of great humans. WWBA and World Series Finalists to end the summer. Fortunate to be around this group, the future is bright. by @sean__thomas22
