Blessed to have worked with so many talented people, whether behind or in front of the camera. Grateful for every opportunity we’ve had to create, craft, and shape the visuals and tone of each story together.

God willing, we’ll continue to be bold in our creativity, climb greater mountains together as artists, and tell stories that challenge us.

Black Veins
October 2024 – July 2026

Liked it. Loved it. Learned from it.

Praise God for carrying me across the finish line.

We celebrated this milestone with more than 330 people in attendance, honoring the hard work of everyone who dedicated their time, talent, and support to my first feature film as a director.

It has been an incredible privilege to work alongside every man and woman who lifted a finger, made a contribution, or simply believed in this project. While this chapter comes to a close, the memories and friendships we built will stay with us forever.

To everyone who came out to support us, thank you for making our premiere a night we’ll never forget.

A special thank you to Michael Quigley for joining me on stage, QVH Media for your support, Red Phone Booth for hosting our after-party, and SCADshow for providing such an incredible venue for our premiere.

Thank you to everyone who made this night—and this film—possible. Photos by @benniebatesphoto by @seanalally

Scars on the Mountain was released on Angel Studios on July 31st, and for nearly two weeks, we were the #1 movie on their streaming platform.

I had the opportunity to serve as one of the post-production editors on Scars on the Mountain, telling the stories of the people and communities in Western North Carolina affected by Hurricane. I remember praying to God for an opportunity like this. I waited, and then it came. We headed to North Carolina to tell what I believe will be one of the most impactful stories I’ll ever be a part of as a filmmaker.

There were no scripts. No actors. No performances. Just devastating loss, heartbreak, and real people sharing some of the worst and most challenging moments of their lives.

It was an incredible honor to listen to these people, to help shape their stories in the edit, and now to see those stories reach millions.

To Chris Pike (director) and Michael Foley (producer), you guys took some big swings, and you gave me the opportunity to get into the trenches, be uncomfortable, be challenged, and learn some important life lessons. You taught me the value of holding yourself to a high standard and never settling for anything less.

David Plummer and Tyler, I say it every time I see you, your humility to teach me, let me make mistakes, and show me grace throughout this process is something I’ll carry with me for a long time.

I’m incredibly grateful for this project, for the people who trusted us with their stories, and for everyone who helped bring it to millions of people.

Praise God for allowing these stories to be heard, remembered, and never forgotten. by @seanalally

We crossed the finish line on Sunday, and I thank God.
Even in uncertainty, He was in control. His timing was perfect, as always.

Through every high and every low, every setback and breakthrough,
I’m endlessly grateful to have shared this journey with all of you.

This film is more than a project.
It’s an answered prayer, a humbling experience, and a true blessing.
I’m deeply honored to have created it alongside you.
Thank you for sharing your talent, your time, and your heart.

The moments may pass, but the memories will last forever.
I can’t wait to celebrate all of your hard work this summer!

This year, I prayed most for courage, humility, and confidence—
and God answered, not with ease, but with invitation.
An invitation to step into the unknown.
To take the new job.
To make the film that lived in my heart.
To book the trip I always said I’d take “someday.”
To forgive, even when it felt undeserved.
It was terrifying.
And yet, it was deeply comforting—
knowing God was shaping my heart through it all,
teaching me not only who I am,
but revealing more of who He is.
Courage looks like forgiveness.
Humility sounds like asking for help.
Confidence is remembering the gifts already placed within me.
To everyone who shared a moment, a conversation, or a season with me this year—
thank you for walking alongside me.
And to those who prayed for me, showed up, gave generously,
shared their time, answered my questions,
listened to my doubts,
and reminded me of what truly matters—
thank you.
It mattered more than you know. by @seanalally

Black Veins — Teaser.

I’m incredibly honored and grateful for the opportunity God has given me to make this film.

Last year, I was sitting in a coffee shop feeling lost—distant from the faith I once held close. Next to me, a woman was boldly sharing about the Lord. Her courage struck me. I was craving that kind of faith again. I asked her a few questions, then asked if she would pray for me. She encouraged me to keep asking for wisdom—and not to let others distract me from the purpose God had for my life.

One month later, I was rushed to the hospital. My lung was collapsing. Awake, I lay on the table as they cut into me to insert a chest tube. It was the most pain I had ever felt.

This film comes about a year and a half after that moment—a near-death experience that changed everything. Life hasn’t been the same since—and thank God it hasn’t.

Black Veins represents deep pain and suffering—both in the heart and mind.

Before my hospital stay, I came to a crossroads. I’d lost my passion for directing. But in those late nights in the hospital, I prayed. I asked God to show me the truth—to help me rediscover what I had lost: the passion, the purpose, the reason I wanted to tell stories.

I had taken it for granted. I gave it away. I relied on others to carry it—and on false promises.

God didn’t just heal my lung. He healed something deeper.
I understand a little more now. I’ve found my “why” again.

He reminded me that it matters what we inhale and exhale—spiritually, emotionally, relationally. What we take in. What we give out.

We choose what we hear, how we respond, and who we put our faith in.

This is the most personal film I’ve ever made.

To the cast and crew: thank you for walking through this with me. by @seanalally

I'm thrilled to share the official teaser for "Scars On The Mountain." I’m truly grateful for the opportunity to be part of this project, which I joined earlier this year through Year 8 Productions and Christopher Pike. Capturing the devastation and heartbreak faced by our neighbors in North Carolina has been the most rewarding experience of my filmmaking career. Streaming now on @angel studios!!

Chris has been an incredible director, and leader, constantly inspiring the entire team to push our limits and strive for excellence. His guidance taught me the importance of maximizing every frame and never settling for mediocrity. He challenged us to show up every day ready to give our very best, and I can genuinely say I’ve grown as a filmmaker because of it.

A big thank you to Greg Carson And Foley for believing in me and encouraging me to rise to the occasion, even when I stumbled. Your support made all the difference. I’m also immensely grateful to our financial partners for green lighting this important project.

As a team, we hope that "Scars On The Mountain" will not only honor the memories of those affected but also ensure that the voices of the people of North Carolina are heard and never forgotten. Finally, I thank God for answering my prayers and opening new doors and opportunities, and giving me the wisdom and confidence to walk with faith in this new chapter. by @seanalally
