What a year it’s been. Choosing 20 photos from 2024 was not easy, but these are some of favorites from 2024.

This last year has been full of things to celebrate. Having my photos published in Times Square in January, hitting 100k on both YouTube and IG, traveling with my family and partner through the US and Japan, and spending plenty of quality time with good friends.

Life has been a bit hectic moving around so much, but that’s what it’s all about. Stoked to see what 2025 brings! Happy New Year everyone 🎉

Still hard to believe this happened, and something I would have never imagined 8 years ago when I was sitting in a tiny hot cubic wishing I was outside taking photos.

Such a rad experience being able to see my photos up in such an iconic location, and having a bunch of epic people around me showing support made it that much better.

A massive shoutout to everyone who came out to show support, including my family, several of my legendary students, my followers, and @davideprah for the 2 photos 🤙🏼

Quitting my office job and pursuing photography full time was hands down one of the best decisions I made for my future and I’m glad to see it all coming to fruition. It’s not been an easy road, but I honestly can’t imagine doing anything else.

Cruising along the Bali coast 🌴 Here are 4 tips for capturing motion blur tracking shots like this one:

1. Shutter speed is the main player in a tracking shot, and we want to use a shutter that is slow enough to capture motion blur, but not too slow that it makes it too difficult to get our subject in focus. I used a shutter of about 1/30 of a second here, but probably could have gone a bit slower because we weren’t moving very fast. If we were moving faster or I had used a slower shutter, the movement would look much more dynamic thanks to the extra motion blur.

2. Make sure you’re moving at the same speed of your subject. There’s 2 types of tracking shots, one where you’re stationary and you pan your camera as your subject moves by you, and one where you’re also moving at the same speed of your subject (like in this shot). They both yield incredibly cool effects. The latter is much more difficult to accomplish because you need 2 vehicles to get this done, but it looks awesome if you can nail it. I was sitting on the back of a motorbike when I shot this. Not the easiest feat 😂

3. Make sure you’re using continuous AF and a high drive mode, otherwise your chances of getting the shot are slim. Spray and pray is the name of the game! It might take you more than one attempt to nail it, but keep trying and one frame will surely turn out.

4. Because shots like this require a slower shutter speed, having an ND filter on hand will allow you to still use a wider aperture. I had to shoot this at f16 in order to get a balanced exposure here, and that’s often the case when you’re shooting with a slow shutter speed like 1/50 or below.

The colors of Bangkok 🇹🇭 Bangkok always seems to be depicted in film as a hazy industrial city. But one of the first things I notice every time I return are the pops of color throughout the city. Everywhere you look is a pop of blue, orange, yellow, or red, and they all work together to create a vibrant color palette that I can’t help but shoot. Bangkok will forever be one of my favorite cities for photography. Which shot is your favorite? 👉🏼

We spent a week in Belgium just before Christmas and Ghent was definitely the highlight. The medieval architecture blends perfectly with the young and artsy vibe of the city. Pair that with a world class beer scene and you’ve got a city I’ll definitely be returning to 🍻😏

If you ever find yourself in Northern California, do yourself a huge favor and visit Point Reyes. Such a beautiful location, regardless of whether you’re into photography or not. Spent an afternoon shooting there with @zachxryj and we were absolutely buzzing. Itching to get back home to shoot, but life’s got other plans. I’m heading to Spain for 2 months starting next week, stoked for the next adventure!
