A mix of a personal and professional post here. I've started working on something new, exciting and with the real potential to change the lives of millions of people...but it all started with a really bad experience.

In 2020, @drerikatajra and I got engaged. She then got pregnant (and with her being 39 and me being 40 we thought it could be our last chance at having a baby naturally). She ended up getting COVID and losing the baby through miscarriage. She was devastated, we both were. She took a few weeks to grieve, but then switched straight into action mode. We really wanted to have a child but she absolutely didn't want to go through that experience again so, as a clinician doing a masters in genomics and personalized medicine, she decided to go deep into the best ways she could recover and optimize her health based on her own unique biology. She researched non stop and became obsessed with the microbiome and genotype based nutrition and supplementation. She developed a protocol for us both based on our genotypes and loaded us with the right prebiotic fibre, probiotics and supplements as well as changing our diets and environmental factors in our home. By the way, while doing this she noticed that her periods (which had always been excruciatingly painful) are now painless and incredibly regular - bonus!

Fast forward to July 2021 and she says we're ready to go again. I, of course, do as I'm told 😉 and she gets pregnant during her first ovulation cycle after we start trying (when she's 40 and I've just turned 42). Literally, straight away! She then has a perfect pregnancy with little to no inflammation or swelling and no nausea. Our beautiful baby girl is born on her exact due date (just 3 days after she did this photoshoot). Since then she's gone on to help numerous women recover their health and overcome fertility issues. At the end of last year I encouraged her to look at how she could help women with this knowledge at scale, so we started @rejuvenhealth. At Rejuven we create personalized genotype and microbiome based protocols for women who want to get pregnant, are pregnant or have recently given birth.
