Today’s sermon Excerpt

This month, as we focus on Kingdom Inheritance, we are coming into an enlightenment of what belongs to us in Christ. Today’s message was an eye opener. There are things God has already provided that we do not need to struggle to earn; we need to understand them, believe them, and walk in the reality of them.
One of those great realities is righteousness.
The Bible declares in Romans 5:17 that those who receive the abundance of grace and the gift of righteousness shall reign in life through Jesus Christ. Notice the language: the gift of righteousness. Righteousness is not a reward for human perfection. It is not something we manufacture through our own strength. It is a gift that we receive through Christ.
We are not righteous because we have never made mistakes. We are righteous because Christ is righteous.
Our confidence before God is not based on our performance; it is based on the finished work of Jesus Christ. When we put our faith in Him, His righteousness becomes our standing before the Father.
Second Corinthians 5:21 tells us that Christ, who knew no sin, was made sin for us, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. What an exchange! He took what belonged to us so that we could receive what belonged to Him.

Sunday Service Excerpt | The Discipling Church

Today’s message was both challenging and refreshing by my pastor @philipolubakin

One statement that stayed with me was: **”The true assessment of a church is measured by its sending capacity, not its seating capacity.”** A healthy church isn’t defined by how many people gather on Sunday, but by how many disciples are equipped and sent into the world to represent Christ.

The second was that **a discipling church advances the gospel through marketplace influence.** Ministry doesn’t end within the four walls of the church. Every office, business, classroom, studio, and marketplace is an opportunity to reflect Christ and make disciples through the way we live, serve, and lead.

The goal isn’t just to fill buildings. It’s to fill the world with disciples who carry the gospel wherever they go.

Yesterday’s sermon by my pastor @philipolubakin at Supernatural Life Church was an eye opener. It was a timely reminder of what the Church has been called to be, and I sincerely believe every Christian should hear this message.

Topic: The Advancing Church

One truth that really stood out to me is that the Church is at war. We are not called to sit back, stay comfortable, or watch darkness take over. The Church is meant to advance. We are called to take the Gospel into every area of society and ensure that the gates of hell do not prevail.

What challenged me the most was the emphasis on discipleship. The goal is not just to raise churchgoers, but to raise believers who will represent Christ wherever they find themselves. In politics, education, administration, technology, media, music, business, and every other sphere of influence, we need disciples who understand that these places are mission fields.

An advancing church raises people who are bold, not timid. People who confront strongholds, cannot be bought with money, have mastered their appetites, and are willing to stand for truth even when it is unpopular. It builds healthy communities, intentionally places believers in positions of influence, and raises faithful stewards who use their resources to advance God’s Kingdom.

This message reminded me that our assignment does not end when the service is over. Church is not just a place we gather. It is a people on a mission. The real work begins the moment we step outside those doors. by @seankeeyz

It’s Father’s Day Sunday and One of my biggest takeaways from today's teaching on "Maintaining Your Prayer Fire" by my pastor Pastor Philip Olubakin was the importance of consistency in prayer.

How God would rather see you pray consistently for 10 minutes every day than pray for 2 hours once a month. He doesn’t want a one off thing.

It reminded me that a strong prayer life isn't built on occasional spiritual highs or waiting to feel like praying but on daily commitment. We have to be intentional about building and maintaining a consistent prayer routine.

Some practical points he shared were:
• Start your day with prayer as early as you can.
• Set a specific time for prayer and stick to it.
• Have a strong enough reason why you pray, because your "why" will sustain your consistency.

Prayer is not just about duration; it's about devotion, discipline, and consistency.

One of my biggest takeaways from today’s service with my pastor @philipolubakin was this:

God never intended for us to only visit Him when we have needs. He desires that we abide with Him, stay connected to Him, and maintain an active relationship with Him every day.

Prayer is more than presenting requests; it’s a continuous communication link between a child and their Father.

In the Garden of Eden, God communed with Adam in the cool of the day. Adam wasn’t asking for anything there was no list of requests, no emergencies to solve. It was simply a moment of fellowship between a man and his Maker.

Another powerful reminder was that effective prayer must align with God’s will.We often focus on what we want God to do, but true faith also trusts God’s will, God’s timing, and God’s method.

God’s will includes ”God’s when” and ”God’s how.” Sometimes the answer is yes, but not yet. Sometimes God answers in ways we did not expect. Our responsibility is not just to pray, but to trust Him enough to surrender the timing and the process to Him.

The closer we walk with God, the more we understand His heart and become aligned with His purpose. Don’t just visit God when you need something. Abide with Him always.
