WE MADE A MOVIE BABY!!! 🏄‍♂️ Turtles: Mutant Mayhem is out and I’m so proud to have been part of the art team for a year and a half. Helping design such a bold and visually daring project with some of the nicest and most talented people I’ve ever had the joy of working with.

This is the most significant set I designed on the movie, the turtle fellas getting to know April on the rooftop.
@kellan_jett did the color keys for the final version of this scene in the movie.

Thanks to Director @roweyourboatz for bringing me on to the team. I’ve never felt more at home on a project. And for your taste, vision and leadership style. It always felt like a collaboration.

Production Designer @yashar.cc you are the Captain. You always kept the ship steady, the crew inspired and supported and you made it look easy. Thankyou for your trust and obviously your vision was insane in the best way.

Our ADs @ahsuh and @tlamdoods for doing the lords work and actually making this thing work.

And the whole art department it’s been nothing but a joy and a privilege watching you all do your thing, making me up my game and getting to know you all 💚

My completed short film - Journey ✨
It’s short, quiet and reflective. I also never meant to make it 😅
Separate to all my other projects which were very intentional this one presented itself to me over time as I found myself drawn to creating these moments, starting when I moved back to Scotland in July 2020. Eventually the themes of the journey, destination and transition arose.
I’m still reflecting on why I felt compelled to make this, which is one of the most rewarding parts of creating, the weird dialogue you can have with subconscious. Making this took me on my own meta-journey as it is the result of my adventures into animation and 3d, a few years ago there’s no way I could have fathomed making this. I won’t say too much more about it but I hope it takes you somewhere for a moment. ☁️
Thanks for watching

My 2017 feature documentary BiG on the Tricking community is now free on YouTube for all to see for the rest of time!

Swipe through for a story of how the doc came to be.

This project was one of my most transformative undertakings and one of the things that brings me the most pride.

To merge my passions and use my art to showcase something so meaningful to me was a deeply fulfilling experience.

If you have no idea what Tricking is, give it a watch.
If you’re a tricker, Thankyou for everything and I hope this movie can continue to inspire for a long time to come 🙏

Please let me know what you think, it means a lot to me to read comments about this doc x by @seansevestre

Something BIG is coming to YouTube!

In 2017 I set out with the crazy task of making something that showcased Tricking as I saw it. The result is something that connected with so many trickers and shaped who I am as an artist.
I’m still very proud of this documentary and how it depicts our culture and community.

It’s been 9 years and it’s finally time to for this piece of Tricking history to have its final home on YouTube for all to watch and hopefully inspire for years to come 🙌

THIS SUNDAY! Tell your friends, get a little watch party together. Get some snacks, a little dip, have a blast. by @seansevestre
