@mancity put on a commanding display at the Etihad, beating @bvb09 b 4–1 in the @championsleague league stage.

Phil Foden led with a brace (22’, 57’) while Erling Haaland and Rayan Cherki added to the scoreline. Waldemar Anton pulled one back for Dortmund, but it was a night defined by City’s composure and control across all areas of the pitch.

For me, this was my first Champions League game — an explosive night under the lights on Bonfire Night, and Dortmund’s travelling support put on a show of their own.

An absolute drama-filled Yorkshire derby at the Accu Stadium saw Huddersfield Town throw away a two-goal lead in the dying minutes as Sheffield Wednesday clawed back a dramatic 2-2 draw. 💥⚽

After a goalless first half, Town exploded out of the blocks in the second 45, with Joe Taylor breaking the deadlock just seconds after the restart off an Archie Collins assist. Collins set up Derensili Sanches Fernandes in the 68th minute to double the lead and put Huddersfield in complete control.

However, the Owls dominated possession and refused to go away. Ibane Bowat turned the ball into his own net in the 88th minute to give the visitors a lifeline, setting up a frantic finish. Deep into stoppage time, Jamal Lowe kept his cool from the penalty spot in the 98th minute to rescue a point for Wednesday and leave the home side stunned.

Despite going down to 10 men following a late red card for Leo Schofield in the 88th minute, Huddersfield capped off an emphatic performance deep into stoppage time as Joe Spencer converted Lasse Sørensen's setup to seal all three points.

A super early kick-off at Turf Moor where neither side could find that killer touch in front of goal. ⏰📸

A gritty battle from start to finish—Bristol City pushed hard with 20 shots across the 90, but Burnley held firm and created the clearer opportunities on target. Ultimately, no one could get anything past the keepers, but it marks an historic milestone: Burnley's very first point in WSL 2. Off the mark! 👊

An absolute heartbreaker on an historic afternoon at Turf Moor. 💔📸

Jackie Bachteler led Burnley FC Women out onto the hallowed turf for their home debut in WSL 2, and the atmosphere was brilliant. Sunderland took the lead through Elise Hughes before an own goal brought Burnley right back into it before half-time.

Burnley defended resolutely throughout the second half, but deep into stoppage time (90+8'), Hughes popped up with a cruel late winner for the visitors. Cruel outcome after an immense shift, but a monumental step for the club on the WSL 2 stage.

To be honest, no one really deserved to win this one. 🤝📸

A scrap under the lights at Turf Moor that ended all square. Middlesbrough drew first blood when Aidan Morris fired home from outside the box, but Ugo Raghouber answered back in the second half with an absolute rocket of his own to level it up.

Plenty of huffing and puffing from both sides, but a lack of quality in the final third meant the points were split—leaving Burnley still searching for that elusive first league win.

Brentford exploded into the first half, completely taking control and shaking Leeds to their core. 💥

Kevin Schade turned home Keane Lewis-Potter's delivery just before the break to give Brentford a deserved lead, capping off a half where the Bees racked up 22 shots across the 90.

Leeds dug deep in the second half and found an equaliser through Dominic Calvert-Lewin, but a brilliant stripe of P-intensity away from home. 📸

90 minutes couldn't separate the two, with Burnley dominating the ball but Bradford standing firm to force penalties. The decisive moment came down to ex-Burnley man Adam Phillips, stepping up to send the Bantams through to the third round and knock the Clarets out of the cup.
