Divine x Stray Kids Transition for #GovBallNYC day two fits with the girlies! We matched all black by accident 🖤 The #Skzoo skirt was initially an idea to carry trades and gifts for the festival, but it actually ended up being such a cute fit! As a @gnabnahc bias main, had to use belts and chains to pull it all together 🤭 Maybe I’ll do something like this for my next festival? I love music festivals and I love @realstraykids, so I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to see them headline @govballnyc this year! I’m on cloud 143 💖 I really have no words. I had the best time! & to all the Stay I met along the way, thanks for sharing space with me! I hope everyone got home safe, wherever you traveled from. 📝 Haven came home today.

Not in the way I wanted, of course.

But in the way that now leaves space where she used to be. The indent on the back of the couch that I haven’t had the heart to touch. The food that I left just to hear the sound of it hitting her bowl one last time. The delivery boxes I haven’t recycled yet. The silence when I say goodnight.

She loved lying where the sun kissed the floor. She loved nibbling at the leaves of my plants, no matter how much it annoyed me. She was affectionate, but only on her own terms. She was fiercely independent and yet, I’d find her waiting for me at the top of the stairs when I’d come home.

I look for her, everywhere, all of the time.

I hope that while I held her and sang to her one last time, my voice carried her peacefully into whatever comes after this life. I hope she rests well in the room she loved to bask in, among the plants she loved to nibble on. And I hope that when the sun shines through the window, it stretches across the box she now lays in, allowing her to feel its warmth again. But most importantly, I hope she left this earth knowing how much I love her.

Every loss feels different. Every soul that imprints upon your heart will leave one day, one way or another. You’ll miss them in places you don’t expect. You’ll be caught off guard by the uniqueness of their absence. But this is the price we pay for loving so deeply. I was blessed with 13 years. I’ll miss you, Haven. I am so grateful to have had your companionship through every major milestone in my life. I hope I make you proud in the end.
