happy birthday coast!! I can't believe he's 5 already😭

I made another ground beef cake for him this year, frosted with greek yogurt, a peanut butter/cream cheese mix, and topped with berries! we went to a local dog bakery to get some treats then celebrated with the cake at the beach for sunset ☀️

first hike of the year 🌱✔️

happy new year! I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season. I'm feeling very hopeful about 2025; I'll be starting college soon, and I have lots of goals for this year 😁 my biggest ones are to *finally* start a photography business and to hike Three Peaks, one of the most challenging trails on Oahu. some others are learn how to surf, work on my freediving skills, and in general just spend more time outside ☀️

what's your biggest goal for 2025?

thankful 🤍

-
hi + happy thanksgiving! it's been a hot minute since I last was on this account. to be honest, the beginning of this year was pretty rough for me. keeping up with photos and posting was getting to be too much, but I finally feel like I'm at a healthy place to return. plus, I'd love to reconnect with yall and get back into the photography groove 🕺🏻

C + M (+ me) have been loving hawaii. Coast turned 4 in April and enjoyed an extra special cake. I have to say, I really outdid myself on that one. we also met a new husky friend, Blue, but unfortunately he and his family moved off island not too long after we met :( we collaborated with a wonderful dog gear company, but more on that in another post! this year has been full of friends + family too: my mom visited in april, I visited home in maryland for FIVE WEEKS in june, my dad visited in august, two friends of ours visited in september, and my brother will be here tomorrow for 2 weeks 😵‍💫

Cloudy skies, sunny spirits ⛅

We're having another bout of rainy weather. I bought a paddleboard off Facebook Marketplace last week and still haven't taken it out yet... It's too windy to go to the beach near our house, and we don't have a roof rack yet to bring it anywhere else 😅 It needs to be cleaned up and have a couple repairs anyway so I'll be doing that this weekend!

Where has the time gone?!

I didn't mean to take a month long break... but here we are 😅 I think I was losing motivation and just got caught up with work :/

Since I missed everything, how was your February?

It's Marina's world, and we're just living in it 😌

Kaylor and I are FINALLY feeling better! It's the first time in a month neither of us are sick 😅

Yesterday we went on a little hike, and I'm embarrassed to say this was the first hike the dogs have been on since we've moved to HI 🫣 I thought about it and realized they've only actually been off base ONCE to go to a @sniffspots. But we'll also be going out later today for a dog bday party! I'm so happy to get back into the groove of things 🎉

The worst feeling is thinking you've finally recovered from being sick only to immediately get worse the next day 🫠

I'm going a little insane here. It's been almost 2 weeks now of constantly coughing and having a sore throat. I was feeling so motivated to start the new year off on the right foot, so *obviously* I had to get sick 5 days into 2024... Not being able to be active is really starting to get to me (and the dogs). I'm thankful we can still go to the beach though 🤍

I know a lot of other people on here have been sick for wayyy too long too, so here's all of us getting better 🤧

Just a girl & her ball (ft. Coast at the end)

I'm finally starting to feel better, so yesterday we went to the beach! I know everyone's been having fun in the snow, but what's your dog's favorite beach activity?

Coast's is probably swimming, and Marina's is playing fetch 😆

The puppy fever is real 😩 #throwbackthursday

I love re-editing old photos. The memories always hit different, and I love comparing my editing style over time. This was one of Coast's first beach trips 🥹

Starting this week off with rain, work, and a sore throat. Who could ask for a better combo?!

I feel like I already need another vacation Imao. Don't get me wrong, I love my job and I love working from home. Being able to make my own schedule is absolutely amazing. But when I have a lot on my to-do list, it makes me feel like I need to constantly be working. I have definitely been neglecting my sleep, which is probably why I'm sick now 🫠

Hopefully this week I can manage my time better 🥱
