@kuangrf is the most intelligent person I’ve ever met or listened to. As someone who has worked in publishing all my life, I felt really seen through her previous book, Yellowface.

As much as I’m NOT a scholar or into dark academia, hearing her describe what her newest book, #katabasis, means really got me intrigued in her world-building and through processes. She talked a lot about philosophical thought paradox theories and honestly big terms that I still don’t know what she meant. I’m hoping I can learn more from this book! Excited to go to HELL ❤️‍🔥🥵

@michellecyca was also an excellent moderator, asking such compact, thoughtful, questions about Rebecca’s writing processes or even life between scholar writing and fiction writing. There was a moment about how Rebecca deals with writer’s block that I’m so taking away and trying her tips!!

It was such a nice evening filled with a book swap, delicious charcuteries/mini pizzas, unlimited drinks, and the beautiful garden rooftop patio! Perfect for making new friends or connecting with old ones!

Vancouver finally has our very own romance themed bookstore!📚📖💌

It’s my dream paradise! All my fav romcoms in one place! Thank you @perfectmatchbookshop for opening and giving exactly what the romance bookish girlies need!💜❤️‍🔥

They are open from 12-6pm today, and giving away a lot of freebies like free bookmarks, coupons to local vendors, free arcs with a purchase of over $75, and you can get their store tote for $5 when you purchase over 100!

Finally met @briannawiest 💌✍🏻 the author who inspired me to first write for and publish in @thoughtcatalog !!

What a full circle moment for me 🥹 Brianna’s words have healed me almost a decade now! I’m so inspired by her vulnerability and authentic voice.

Her newest book, The Life That’s Waiting, is literally the book I needed the most now. I’m so excited to dig my hands into it and bookmark all the moments when I need her words to heal and reassure me.

No fool this April because it’s officially MY BIRTH MONTH!!! Something has changed within the last 1-2 years… I used to hate my birth month but now it brings me so much joy and excitement!!

I’m ready for all the TULIPS (one of my fav flowers), my Rudolph nose from all the pollen, lots and lots of birthday cake, replaying #ttpdtheanthology, and National Poetry Month… which means it’s time to reshare my lil poem on April (published in my debut chapbook, Acne Scars).
