STP 4 🪂🤘 AND ANOTHER ONE IN THE BOOKS!!

This jump definitely gave me a few things to work on 😂 but damn, it also showed me how much more comfortable I’m getting up there.

My exit wasn’t exactly pretty 😅 but I recovered, got stable and went to work. I was falling FAST, but my turns were really good and I actually felt pretty damn comfortable flying on my own. 🥹🪂

Chris wasn’t there this time, so I jumped with Dawn for the first time… and I’m not gonna lie, she intimidated the shit out of me at first. 😂 But by the end of the jump and our debrief, I absolutely loved her. 🫶

Then there’s deployment… 🤦‍♀️😂 Apparently after FOUR student jumps, my brain still thinks the wave-off is optional. 😅 And I’ve got some work to do on my body position during my pull too.

But that’s why I’m a student. Every jump I learn something, fix something, and get a little more comfortable in the sky.

Not perfect. Just progressing. ❤️🪂

STP 3 🪂 and HE LET ME GO!

The second my instructor let go of me, you can literally see me saying “OH MY GOD” 😂 And then there I was... actually flying on my own.

Was it perfect? Absolutely not. 🤣 I still forgot my damn wave-off, my right leg tried to participate in the pull for reasons nobody asked for, and apparently landing on my ass is becoming part of the curriculum.

But I did it! I stayed stable, checked my altitude, and did what I was supposed to do.

I still have SO much to learn, and honestly, that's becoming one of my favorite parts of this whole thing. I'm not trying to rush through being a student. Every jump gives me something new to work on and something that makes me want to get right back in that plane.

STP2 ✅🪂

The more I learn, the more I realize there is to learn.

And honestly... I love that.

Every jump leaves me with a little more confidence, a lot more knowledge, and even more respect for this sport.

I'm incredibly grateful to be learning from Chris, my instructor and to be surrounded by a drop zone community that's so welcoming and encouraging. It makes every lesson even more meaningful.

I'm not in a hurry to get my license.
I'm enjoying being a Student skydiver 🙌

Maybe that's why I love exploring
Not because I'm looking for something I've never seen before...
But because I'm always curious what I'll find when I come back.

Last week, Wendy and I paddled out to one of our favorite spots, and mother nature gave us another unforgettable moment with this beautiful Roseate Spoonbill.

Yesterday I finally did it. 🪂✨ I completed my first student skydive.

The path to get here wasn't a straight one, that's for sure...There were weather holds, reschedules, setbacks, and plenty of lessons in patience along the way and by the time the day finally came, I wasn't looking for perfect. I was just grateful to be there.

The best adventures rarely go exactly as planned. Every delay, every lesson, and every setback became part of the story.

Yesterday, I finally got to live it.

Now it's time to learn, improve, and do it again. 🤙

Glidin in the keys ✨

Right between Summerland key and Cudjoe key there's a key called Knockemdown key. We saw at least a hundred sharks... black tip, bonnet head, nurse sharks, and of course the usual suspects like parrot fish, barracuda, and mangrove snapper...We also encountered a sea turtle! Every trip out teaches me something — patience, trust, mindset, resilience… all of it is part of the journey too. When the jump is meant to happen, it will. 💙
