POSTS STORIES REELS

This reel was originally shared by our founders on a personal page, but the message behind it overlaps deeply with the philosophy underneath both Cathedral and Spir.

At the core of our work is a simple belief:
We believe in the goodness of people.

From the very beginning, we believed people see the problems in our world and genuinely want to help — they just don’t always know where to start.

That belief is what led us to create businesses that make helping tangible:
through events, through candles, through mentorship, and through community.

It’s also why we try to avoid language around “transformation.”

Not because people don’t grow or change.

But because we believe the young men we work with are already thoughtful, compassionate, intelligent, resilient, and full of potential.

We are not interested in changing people.

We are interested in seeing people for their inherent value and goodness.

It’s about helping create environments where people can be seen clearly — sometimes for the first time — and encouraged toward the best version of who they already are.

That belief sits underneath everything we do.

And to everyone who has raised their hand in response to that belief over the years — by buying a candle, booking an event, volunteering, donating, or advocating for the young men we work with — thank you.

100% of candle sales go directly to Gaza relief.

Three things we invite you to do now:
1. Pre-order. Link in bio or hop on our website. Candles are $32. Quicker the sales come in, the sooner we can distribute the money.
2. Comment to boost the algorithm.
3. Share this to your story or feed.

It might feel uncomfortable to post. Don’t worry about the right words.

Ask - what if we could help save just one life?
Don’t scroll past. Be brave. Take action.
It’s not the thought that counts, it’s what you do with it.
This is your chance to DO something.

Sales from first 200 candles will be donated to @humanite.peace.collective and @unrwa. After which, we may consider spreading donations to other organizations. Know of one? Comment below. by @seattlecathedral

You look good doing good! 📸❤️

The photos from our second annual Spir Foundation fundraiser are here, and we’ve got the proof that a whole lot of good people had a whole lot of fun!

Huge thanks to everyone who showed up, celebrated, gave generously, and helped make the night so special. And a special shoutout to @truephotographyandvideo for capturing all the joy, connection, and community!

Together, we’ve raised over **$51,000 toward our $60,000 year-end goal!** We’re 85% of the way there, and we’d love your help closing that final gap.

Want to keep the good going? Every gift helps us create more opportunities, support, and belonging for justice-impacted young men.

📸 Check out the full photo gallery and make a gift through the link in our bio!

Thank you for showing up and believing in what’s possible. ❤️

Do you feel optimistic about the future?

I hope you do. But if not, you’re not alone. Nearly two-thirds of Americans say they don’t feel optimistic about what’s ahead (Yale study). And why would they? We’re inundated with information and stories that make concern feel like the only reasonable response.

But those stories rarely show us the people all around us—in our neighborhoods and communities—actively working for the good of others. They’re organizing food drives, investing in marginalized communities, entering uncomfortable spaces and sitting with people in pain.

They usually aren’t doing it loudly. But they are inviting us to join them.

If you’re feeling discouraged, fearful, worried or anxious, the antidote may be to show up.

When you feel sluggish, it’s easier to lie on the couch. But that rarely helps. You have to walk, lift some weights or do some yoga. Feelings follow actions—not the other way around.

So if you’re worried about the future, show up somewhere that allows you to do something with that concern.

This Saturday is our second annual Spir Foundation Fundraiser. Yes, the goal is to raise money. But my promise is that if you come, you’ll leave feeling encouraged and hopeful.

In just under one month we have our annual fundraiser. I have a lot to say about it, but…I think I’ll wait until we get a bit closer.

But for now, let me say this.

I think people are desperate for meaning. For opportunities to contribute. To step outside of their keyboards and into environments where they’ll be inspired and encouraged.

There’s never a shortage of galas and fundraisers you can choose to attend. And there are so many causes worth your time and attention.

What I can promise you is this: when you attend our fundraiser, you’ll leave feeling better about the world — and better about your ability to do something that matters.

I hope you come.

A + O’s reception at the Cathedral was sooo moody and I’m not mad about it lol. The candlelight, the architecture, all the little details just worked so perfectly with the nostalgic, film inspired look the bride wanted.

I love when the photos feel like you can actually step back into the day, not just remember what it looked like. The little things, the people, the random in-between moments you probably didn’t even notice happening at the time.

These are the photos you’ll look back on years from now and be like omg I remember this exact moment.
