Haven’t done the colored pencils in a while, so here’s my little friend Ash, our Balinese cat. He makes an appearance at the end of the last clip. I debated for a bit on doing the background or not… because I did like the look of his colors on the toned paper as is.

Had an amazing evening with @infectedrain_official . Great VIP experience with an incredibly down to earth band. It’s hard to describe how awesome it was for me to get my portrait of @lenascissorhands signed, and receive compliments from her about the drawings. She is fun to draw, and challenging. I will never miss them when they come around. Amazing performance. High Priestess Uxía Cambarro played by Macarena Gómez in Stuart Gordon’s “Dagon” (2001). One of my favorite Lovecraft adaptions. I deviated a little bit from the lore and illustrated her standing… which she really couldn’t do because of her tentacle legs. Graphite on Bristol Vellum.

Amazing experience with @jinjer_official in Philly last night. This was our third time seeing them, but first time doing the VIP and meeting them. They were incredibly kind, and after watching a few songs during soundcheck we got to hang with them for a bit onstage before doing photos and signings. Getting my artwork signed by Jinjer was … surreal. Then after all of that awesome stuff, we were front row and center for one of their usual mind blowing performances! This is @debbiegoughhh from @heriotmetal . I was fortunate enough to catch them live 2x while they were in the states touring with Jinjer and Trivium last year. When they werent blowing the doors off the place with their incredible sound, they were hanging at the merch stand being awesome to everyone. They probably wont remember, but we chatted about Magic the Gathering of all things 😆

I’ve been wanting to draw Debbie for a while now, she is amazing and I’m a HUGE fan.

📷 The reference photo used was from the 2024 Rock am Ring, but I have been unable to identify the photographer.

Reverend Lester Lowe played by Everett McGill in 1985’s Silver Bullet. One of the better werewolf movies and an absolute classic of the 80s. Graphite on Vellum.

Alliyah as Akasha in Queen of the Damned. Not a great movie, but I thought her character looked cool. Took some liberties on the headdress/jewelry as I was going nuts trying to draw it 😂. Graphite on Vellum. #alliyah #queenofthedamned #horrorart #drawingpencil by @seaver.jim
