Materialized dataset flowers, 2026
Resin, archival print paper, styrofoam

For this project I was interested in how we experience nature through digital spaces, and what that does to our understanding of it. What happens when data becomes physical?

A big thank you to @rachel_de_joode for being such a warm inspiration, and thank you to the two craftimen wonders @tibo_boto and @frau_bergamini for helping me throughout the process. by @sebastiantthorsted

Tonight I’ll be exhibiting a few of my first flower tests from the new series for the @xx_nihilo Night at the final party for @copenhagenphotofestival at @basement_cph .

‘Artifact Flowers examines the image datasets used to train generative AI in order to produce synthetic images. Through glitch manipulation and slit-scan technique, the image series emphasizes how nature has become as much data in digital spaces as part of our environments in the physical world.’

It starts at 19:00 ends at 01:00 and will dedicated to some very cool other photographers with cute DJs and cute people. Stop by if you’re in Copenhagen 🖤🖤🖤

A big thanks to @_andrehansen for the opportunity 👽
