THANK YOU SO MUCH KUNA 2. I genuinely don’t know what to think because I was happy enough with just passing the primary election but having the privilege of calling myself KUNA 2’s very own Secretary General is insane to me. From the bottom of my heart, I am so grateful for this opportunity and I am glad I met all these new people who were extremely supportive to me.

Day 2 has been such a gift for me. It has been a crazy emotional rollercoaster but I am genuinely so happy with the way today turned out. I have loved meeting all these new people and expressing what I truly care about to the people. Thank you to all who have supported and voted for me. With all that being said, there is another election tomorrow. So here’s this reminder:

Now with 2 days until KUNA, I wanted to introduce you all to my campaign manager Johnnisha Hughes!
Johnnisha was one of the first friends I made through my school’s Y-Club after we got paired up to present a bill at my first ever KYA. She has helped me in all aspects of my campaign and I am very grateful to call her my campaign manager for my candidacy.

Platform #3: Employment, Decent Work For All and Social Protection
People spend hours upon hours at their jobs. Everyone deserves at least the bare minimum. A decent working environment and decent pay. If we want to see more economic mobility and prosperity, we have to start with the conditions of the people’s jobs.

Platform #2: Health and Population
As our population ages and grows in numbers, the demands for sustainable and accessible healthcare also increase. No person should be left behind without any care when they are in dire need. A healthy society is a stronger society. The people’s health should come first, as it is a basic human necessity and right.

1st Platform: Food Security and Nutrition and Sustainable Agriculture
One thing many of us can agree on is the fact that all people are deserving of having food on the table. With food insecurity and families worldwide not having the resources to provide themselves with the basic human need of food, this platform aims on shedding light and working towards solutions to this problem worldwide that still runs rampant.

Hello Kuna 2, my name is Cesar Garcia and I am excited to announce my candidacy for Presiding Officer. I am a junior at Butler Traditional High School. I have rapidly become more and more involved in the Y. I have been a bill author, lobbyist and NGO at Y-conferences. I also plan on being involved in Y-corps this summer. I chose to run for KUNA as I have always loved learning about new cultures and new places. Ever since I attended my first KUNA conference, I fell in love with it. I have enjoyed debating and hearing all the resolutions proposed during KUNA.
Involvements: KUNA, KYA, FBLA, NHS, Beta, Yearbook, President of BTHS Hispanic Student Union.

About Me: I am bilingual and a Dual-citizen of The US and Mexico. I enjoy thrifting, listening to music, soccer, traveling and spending time with friends.
