Giving discarded solar panels a Second Life. Contact: @laescobedo

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

When the magic of cinema meets the power of the sun! ☀️🎞️
Introducing “Arcoíris” 🌈 — an incredible art intervention by Andres Garcia @kinoandres and his team at @enac.unam , created last week during Impulso Naranja week @secondlifeofsolar . They took a standard Trina Solar @trinasolarglobal panel and completely reimagined it using vividly tinted 16mm cinema film!
By weaving the colorful 16mm film across the solar cells (you can see the amazing textures and colors in image.png and image_2.png), the team created a brilliant visual dialogue about light—how we capture it to tell stories on screen, and how we harness it for renewable energy. ⚡️🎬
The best part? This stunning piece is there to stay at ENAC! Next time you are on campus, make sure to stop by and see how art, film, and sustainability collide @innovaunam_social

Where the beautiful game meets beautiful art. ⚽️🎨 Throwing it back to the electric energy of our World Cup watch parties!
At Casas Murales, we believe in bringing people together to share special moments. Whether you’re here to get lost in a new art exhibition or to scream your lungs out for a last-minute goal, this is your home base.
Here is a look back at what made those match days so unforgettable:
The Atmosphere: Guests cheered for their teams while surrounded by stunning, massive murals and intervened solar panels @secondlifeofsolar . The space also offered a relaxing vibe with beautiful garden views through large glass windows.
The Drinks: We served up fresh, ice-cold passion fruit cocktails to keep the spirits high. Our beautifully lit bar was fully stocked and prepped with Cachaça, fresh fruits, and plenty of limes.
The Food: We kept the crowd fueled with delicious, themed snacks, including fresh baskets of Pão de Queijo by @erthal.co
The Setup: Everyone got the best seat in the house with cozy armchairs facing a massive TV screen. The room was filled with colorful flags, great music, and amazing company sharing the same passion.
Here’s to many more days filled with great art, refreshing drinks, and the beautiful game! 🍻

When your styles merge just as perfectly as your lives do. 💛🎨
We are loving this setup at @casasmurales featuring upcycled masterpieces by @olivergraham.art 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 and @skiidbladnir 🇺🇸 from @secondlifeofsolar
This talented couple brings such a unique, unified energy to the room. Ollie’s vibrant, energetic “Dancers 2” plays beautifully off the dreamy, intricate lines of Daisy’s “Transmutación 2”. Seeing their individual styles merge across these repurposed solar panels is ridiculously cool! ⚡️
Catch their exhibition at Casas Murales while you can!

ALTAÏR: A Celestial Second Life✨

When monumental design meets sustainable innovation.
Presenting ALTAÏR (2026), a breathtaking centerpiece by the visionary artist @luce.gaudin , hailing from St Etienne, France. This piece isn’t just a stunning architectural focal point; it’s a powerful statement on the intersection of luxury, art, and the environment.
Through a masterful interplay of geometry, cosmology, and traditional patterns, Luce has transformed a decommissioned solar panel into a timeless artifact. The precise, captivating linework and textures were achieved using a mixed-media blend of:
* Aérosol
* Acrylic
* Ceramic
Beyond her incredible talent in the studio, Luce Gaudin is a leading voice in sustainable transformation. She goes beyond the canvas, proudly serving as a sponsor and ambassador for the Second Life of Solar movement. With ALTAÏR, she proves that renewable technology can transcend its original utility to become profound, museum-quality art. 🌍☀️
