Soul Clap Records 🔥 debut from @secondnaturefunk with the delicious house party anthem HOME COOKIN 🍳 🧑‍🍳 + the 4 remixes 🎚️🎛️ in the EP package bake ♨️ the track in succulent dance music flavours. Funk star Paulie Philippone @pauliephilippone turns in his savory “Paulie P Soulful House Remix” which is supremely dreamy + wonderfully jazzy. Paulie serves up layers of cosmic synthesizers and warm piano solos 🎹 set the mood for a romantic dinner 🥘 Don’t miss Swatkins @swattykins talkbox solo which is the dessert 🧁 on this remix!

Paulie is a multi-instrumentalist, producer and engineer who has toured nationally playing keyboards with acts including Big Mean Sound Machine, Cyro Baptista, Kat Wright, and The Chronicles. He is a founding member of the Hartford based Funk/Soul band West End Blend @westendblend and is the band’s engineer/producer at @funkhausmusic + @ghosthitrecording . by @secondnaturefunk

Soul Clap Records 🔥 debut from @secondnaturefunk with a soulful house anthem HOME COOKIN 🍳 🧑‍🍳 blending Classic House with Northern Soul like Marshall Jefferson meets Stevie Wonder.. Out Now the EP package is PLUS REMIXES + we want to highlight how unique each one is for the Dancefloor starting with @wessanderssays (slide 1 📸 studiokyleryan ) .. this Philadelphia based producer / DJ presents a plate 🍽️ of “metro tech house” - it’s glitchy but driving, a fast paced remix he also calls “Groove tech” style. FRIDAY SEPTEMBER 19TH

SOUL CLAP @soulclapofficial
SECOND NATURE @secondnaturefunk

It’s been over a year since we’ve hosted Soul Clap, the longest stretch we’ve gone since we opened without hearing their one of a kind interplanetary funk. Likewise, Second Nature have been on a bit of a break as well, but it will all be worth the wait as these two foundations of funk come together for a special open to close Friday, September 19th.

As if that wasn’t reason enough to get excited we will also be celebrating the upcoming release of Second Nature’s first single ‘Home Cookin’’ on Soul Clap Records! @soulclaprecords

While we take great pride in the incredible list of globally recognized artists we’ve had the honor of hosting over the years, Crobar will always be a platform for local talent as well. So to see two of our favorites from different parts of the country come together to produce music is really something special!

Come help us celebrate this funky union as Soul Clap kicks things off at doors, followed by a 2 hour Second Nature live set, with Soul Clap coming back and closing it down. So lace up your dancing shoes, because this one’s going to be a nonstop boogie.
