Tons of new faces so I thought I’d reintroduce myself! Hi, I’m Rylan! I’m a wife, a mama to two little ones with one more on the way, and I hand-sew every single hat that leaves my shop.

This business started with a dream. I began by selling vintage denim and antiques, and eventually started creating my original vintage NFR buckle hats. I never imagined that one simple idea would grow into what Second Saddle Vintage is today.

As time has gone by, my love for creating has only grown. These days, I’m constantly dreaming up new hat designs, experimenting with different styles, and creating pieces that blend my love for vintage and western fashion. Every hat is made by hand with so much love, and I truly pour a little piece of my heart into each one.

But this business has become so much more than hats. Because of your support, we’ve been able to leave the paycheck-to-paycheck season behind and build a life we once only dreamed of. You’ve given our family more time together, more adventures, more memories, and the opportunity to give our children the kind of childhood we’ve always hoped for. There aren’t enough words to thank you for that.

On a personal level, this business has also been a huge part of my healing. After walking through postpartum depression & postpartum OCD, PTSD, and trauma, having a creative outlet and something meaningful to pour my heart into has helped my mental health in ways I can’t fully put into words. Creating has given me purpose on the hard days, peace in the middle of chaos, and a reminder that even after the darkest seasons, healing is possible. Every stitch, every design, and every hat has been part of that journey, and I’ll always be grateful for what this little business has given me.

Whether you’ve been here since I was selling vintage jeans or you just found my page, thank you for being here. Every order, every share, every comment, and every kind word means more than you know. Thank you so much to everyone who has reached out about my hats being copied and resold 🤍
I truly appreciate you looking out for my small business.

I do wholesale to a select few boutiques, but unfortunately, instead of reaching out and supporting the original, some have chosen to copy my design. That directly impacts my family and takes away from something I’ve worked really hard to build.

I started this business with the goal of becoming a stay-at-home mom while helping support our family—especially with the added expenses that come with our kids’ allergies. Every order truly matters to us.

I take a lot of pride in staying original. I don’t copy or recreate other people’s designs, which is why when it comes to hats, I stick to my signature big buckle styles 🤠

I’ll be dropping the boutiques that currently carry my hats in the down below if you’d like to support them! And I’ll also be bringing in some fun wholesale hats for you all soon 😜
