Polishing a pair of sweet shell dishes and enjoying seeing them transformed with a bit of tlc. Look at the difference!

I've started keeping old wool socks that are past it and threadbare in places for that final bit of buffing.
Works a treat.

I'll hope to finish these both today to list in my Etsy shop over the weekend. Link in bio.

Harry Brockway (1958 - 2024) was an exceptionally talented wood engraver and stone carver who enjoyed a long working relationship with the book publisher, Folio Society.

This beautiful signed limited edition print, Daniel, has recently been sold to a discerning customer.
I haven’t been able to stop thinking about it though and wanted to share something of Harry’s extraordinary legacy as a much loved and respected artist.

Stunning vintage Anton Lang Studio Pottery bowl or deep plate.
Featuring a striking blue design of a central flower enveloped by leaves.

Beautiful condition.

Signed to the base.

Diameter 25cm
Height 5.5cm

Anton Lang (b.17th January 1875 - d.30th May 1938) was an art potter based in Oberammergau, Germany.

He was also a prominent actor in the famous production of “Passion Play”, between 1900 and 1934, hosted in his town. He played the central role of Jesus Christ in 1900, 1910, and 1922. He was also the prologue speaker for the play in 1930 and 1934.

Back @hackneyfleamarket in Abney Hall in Stoke Newington all weekend.

I've already met such lovely customers out enjoying their hunt for that special something.

Pop down today or Sunday.
We are here from 1030am - 5pm both days.

Two of my favourite things on my stall are in this photo. The French stainless steel tastevin cup for tasting wine and the vintage copper ibrik (coffee making pot).
