Quick note for my consignors ❤️
We’re pausing new consignment intake for the rest of October. Our racks are full and I want to give everything on the floor the attention it deserves before we make room for more. Thank you to everyone who has consigned, your items keep the store running!
We’ll be back to accepting new consignments sometime in November, so start setting aside those fall and winter pieces you’re ready to part with. In the meantime, come shop, say hi, and snag something wonderful. ☺️

Hi Guys! I wanted to let everyone know that I will be closing the store early this Friday at 2pm. I will be open earlier starting at 9am. Thank you guys so much for understanding! Hi guys! A little update from Second Take👜

I’ll be moving to weekly consignment intake days!
These will be Wednesdays 4-6pm & Sundays 4-6pm!

I am so grateful for everyone wanting to consign and come shop at Second Take. It truly has been amazing, and a bit overwhelming in the best way possible! I just need time with each piece to make sure it’s getting my best look before hitting the floor.

I want to be as straight forward with you all as possible when it comes to things like this. I really appreciate everyone understanding that it is a smaller shop and this will ensure the best items will be displayed.

So I got my pictures back from the grand opening!!! Let me just say @picsbyfish did the most amazing job capturing the day!

The grand opening incorporated all of my favorite things shopping, pink, and talking to people! It was truly such an amazing day and it could not have gone better! I wanted to say thank you to everyone who came to the opening and those who have come in the past few days as well.

I’m so excited to be in Wheaton and to have the opportunity to meet everyone here as well! Always looking to chat in the store so never feel like you can’t say hi, ask for an opinion about something or even if you need help with a look!

MEET THE OWNER!!!
Hi guys ☺️
For those who don’t know me yet, I’m Tatum Kral, the owner of Second Take! I just graduated from Western Michigan University, and honestly, being away at college was one of the best experiences of my life.

I met some of my best friends there, we lived together in the same house for three years, and I grew so much as a person along the way. I was learning from my fair share of ups and downs and figuring out who I actually wanted to become.

After graduation I moved back home to Glen Ellyn, and it feels so good to be back! Funny enough, Kalamazoo actually had a consignment shop, and that’s where the idea for Second Take first started brewing. When I began applying for jobs, nothing felt like something I’d genuinely be excited about. So instead of settling, I decided to spend my time building something of my own, something I’d actually love.

Outside of the shop, I’m all about my family and friends and just soaking up as much time with them as I can. I’m also an animal lover through and through, and one day I’d love to have my own ranch where I can help as many animals as possible.

I’ve been so lucky to have nothing but support from the people around me as I’ve built this. Opening Second Take has been one of the most rewarding, exciting, and meaningful things I’ve ever done.🩷 taken in Wheaton, Illinois by @secondtakesw
