a little behind-the-scenes magic in the heart of the Seattle food scene. 🎬🥣✨ I wanted to share something a bit different and incredibly special with you all. I recently got to film a behind-the-scenes look at @secret.congee ! It was so inspiring to watch the artistry, passion, and raw hustle from these two amazing chefs, JP and Josh, as they brought the kitchen magic to life cooking a featured recipe straight out of the new cookbook, Seattle Eats & Drinks by @juliendperry . 📖🔥 It truly goes into crafting the perfect comforting bowl. Check out their page for more details, and head over to their channel to watch the full journey! 🥢🧡 P.S. It was also so much fun capturing the kitchen hustle alongside the talented photographers @csalfilm and @rydo4k 🎥✨ #seattlefood #congee #recipe #behindthecamera #secretcongee by @secret.congee
Today I checked out Secret Congee with my dad and family friend out in Seattle, Wa. Honestly the best congee I’ve ever had in my entire life. We ordered the Hokkaido Scallop, Barramundi Sea Bass, and Shrimp Tom Yum Congee. Never knew such a simple dish could be elevated like the way they do. 9/10 definitely recommend you check it out. @secret.congee @ginger.scallion 📍 6301 Seaview Ave NW, Seattle, WA 98107 #benderbrendan #seattle #seattlefood by @secret.congee
SHHH, IT'S A SECRET… NO MORE! 🥣 One of our favorite comfort food stops just made the New York Times' list of the Best Restaurants in Seattle! Secret Congee in Ballard is run by two brothers and offers its own tasty twist on Asian-style rice porridge. The perfect meal for a crisp autumn day! 📍 6301 Seaview Ave NW by @secret.congee
Growing up Asian, a warm bowl of congee with fresh ginger was the ultimate comfort food—and @secret.congee brings me straight back home 🥣✨ It’s super gentle on digestion, nourishing, and the portions are huge. Perfect for a cozy fall catch-up in Seattle! 🍂 Don’t forget the crispy youtiao (fried dough) for dipping 🥢 📍 Secret Congee | Seattle, WA . . #seattlefoodie #seattlefood #thingstodoinseattle #seattlerestaurants #seattlesmallbusiness by @secret.congee

That’s that! After 4 years it’s a wrap on The Seattle Restaurant Podcast. We go out with a bang with a live episode with all our friends recorded at the newly open @bardojo at @seattleartmuseum in Downtown Seattle. Thank you to all the guests (except that one, you know who you are), the listeners, my amazing co-host Dr. @chefshubert and of course, you! I am working on another podcast concept, details are in the episode. I’ve been around the globe, and I can honestly say we have one of the best restaurant cities in the world. I love the creativeness, the passion, the ingredients, the spirit of collaboration, and all the hard working chefs, servers, prep cooks, dish washers, and everyone involved in putting out that perfect plate. I love you Seattle. Thank you for the support. Hit up a local eatery TODAY! 🎥 by @publichousemedia 📸 by @jimlanger by @secret.congee
