We LOVE being a part of the Bute Park community.
It’s super important to us that we give back to this beautiful space we are lucky enough to host our small business from 💚💚 by @secretgardencf

Seasonal hot chocolate season is upon us…..

We’ve teamed up with @cardiff_salad for this super tasty treat.
Using Tom’s chillies we’ve made a Chilli, Cinnamon & Star Anise syrup, blending it with 55% dark chocolate.

It’s super good.

Autumn flavours are rocking the menu 🍂🍃🍁

Okay, how your going to eat this, we aren’t sure 😂
But it’s well worth the effort.
Roasted Autumn squash, Chestnut stuffing loaf, Crunchy slaw, with a miso & shallot mayo. It’s all vegan baby.

Sourcing seasonal, organic food, from not too far away is what we do.

Seasonal spotlight……….

I’m super excited about our latest Kombucha, and I just have to tell you all about it.

This small batch is Oak leaf, Nettle and Quince. We’ve done our first fermentation with organic cane sugar, nettle leaves and oak leaves. Oak is naturally high in tannins, just like tea- we would have brewed and drank oak leaf infusion before tea was imported and introduced. In the second fermentation we’ve added organic quince.
This kombucha is super super seasonal, and it’s probably already gone by the time I post this, as it’s been super popular.

We’ve been home brewing our kombucha for over 5 years now, thanks to our old chef @tejturner 💚 by @secretgardencf

Super seasonal food…….Autumn Flavours here we come 🍁🍂🍃

Front - Super seedy organic granola with creamy yogurt, pumpkin seeds, black figs and Blueberries.

Foreground - Toffee apple porridge with cinnamon and vanilla yogurt.

Best location in town, surrounded by trees, a sea of green and bird song. You can’t beat it 💚👌 by @secretgardencf

Spend a Sunday morning tuning into the hidden sounds of the forest, followed by an exclusively curated seasonal breakfast spread in the park. 🍂🎧☕

On Sunday 25th October, @wildrhythm.cic and @secretgardencf are bringing you Sounds & Flavours of Autumn, a collaborative 3-hour morning experience in Bute Park.

We’ll start in Blackweir Forest, we’ll listen to natural world using bio-sonification technology, hydrophones, and contact mics. You'll get to hear the electrical signals of ancient trees, the sounds of forest moss, and the rushing waters of the River Taff like never before.

Afterwards, we’ll gather at Secret Garden Cafe for an exclusive, off-menu seasonal breakfast spread created by Mel and her team, complete with a hot drink and a short talk on sustainable, wildlife-friendly eating.

Swipe through the slides to see the full breakdown of the morning! 📲
