This year, GlasGLOW is bringing not just the spook factor, but also a theme solely dedicated to zombies. Guests can expect an actual Zombie Zoo with live actors, including the chance to enter the ZOMBIE CAGE. [FIRST LOOK] Glasgow is getting a huge new dining destination, as @theivyglasgow as we know it in an iconic building on Buchanan Street is set to face some serious changes. Of course, it only means that The Ivy is moving to a much larger home with a massive terrace, so not to worry!👀 Secret Glasgow got a chance to take a peek before the opening, and the building's opulent gradeur speaks for itself😍 The Ivy moved along to a historic building on St Vincent Place with The Ivy Asia, the brand’s Asian-inspired dining concept, which will be the first of its kind in Scotland. Inside the new destination spot, guests can expect vibrant flavours, theatrical dining, architecture inspired by Renaissance Florence and a high-energy atmosphere set to introduce a new audience to The Ivy’s growing collection of restaurants. As a result, The Ivy Brasserie now has a much larger home with a massive terrace and private dining room. The two restaurants sit within one of Glasgow’s most iconic historic buildings, located between George Square and Buchanan Street, offering two separate dining experiences under one roof. Although this farm is further away than the other pumpkin patches, you will be glad you came when you see the various produce on offer.😍 So grab your wheelbarrow and get picking! Craigie’s Farm have confirmed that there are plenty of pumpkins up for grabs. And if you fancy some apple picking, hop on the big truck and go to the orchard, and meet some Highland cows, too!🐮 If you fancy making more of a day of it, you can also book an afternoon tea at the farm’s café and buy a range of food products, including jams, juices, meat, cheeses, groceries, as well as gifts and hampers. What is more, there are food trucks selling burgers, loaded fries and chicken dishes. Christmas is creeping closer, so maybe get a head start. Glasgow Central Low Level and Argyle Line to close over two October weekends for major £1.7m upgrade.🚂 The Argyle Line carries thousands of passengers daily in Glasgow, with expected wear and tear over the years. As a result, maintenance work is needed to keep the line running reliably, and a £1.7 million refurbishment is set to take place this October. During the upgrade and refurbishment works, Network Rail engineers will repair parts of the concrete foundation through the Argyle line tunnels at the exhibition centre and Dalmarnock and replace sections of rail at Rutherglen station. What is more, Glasgow Central Low Level station will get a repair for its overhead lighting, as well as replacing ageing wall panels on the platforms and carrying out a deep clean of the station (god knows we need it). Finally, the teams will upgrade equipment used to control the safe movement of trains through the tunnels.
