After Vienna, our Architect@Work journey continues to Berlin this week!

In addition to discovering the latest designs at our stand 77, it’s worth looking up in the exhibition hall. As the event’s official lighting partner, we’ll be illuminating not only one but two bar areas at the Berlin edition! Kumulo pendants return to the central bar, while our newest model Octo Tre, will light up the second bar. A great chance to see its compact form in a larger installation!

Looking forward to two days of conversations with architects and design professionals!

Where Mediterranean light meets the quiet warmth of Finnish birch.

In a Marseille city home, our black Octo pendant, suspended from Varsi, casts a warm, generous glow — creating an inviting atmosphere made for gathering, sharing, and lingering a little longer.

”One encounter really warmed my heart. A visitor recognised Secto Design from the Kumulo pendants above the central bar and came over to our stand. She told me that she had first encountered Secto Design more than 20 years ago, while working at an interior design shop in Linz. She has followed our journey ever since.”

Our Magnum pendants bring warmth, rhythm and texture to the tall staircase of Neftis HQ, just outside ot Barcelona.

Suspended at different heights, they follow the verticality of the space, becoming part of its architectural language.

An interplay of Finnish craftsmanship and Spanish architecture, where wood and light shape the space.

Next stop: Vienna!

Our Architect@Work journey continues tomorrow, as we participate in the Vienna edition.

Making its A@W debut, Octo Tre joins our stand alongside Kumulo and Adilo. Designed by Seppo Koho, the newest and most compact member of the Octo family brings the familiar character of the iconic wooden pendant into a new scale.

Beyond our stand, look up for another familiar sight: Kumulo pendants will illuminate the central bar area as our we continue our role as the event’s lighting partner.

Looking forward to two days of meeting architects and design professionals!

SäläSalonki opened yesterday – and we’re happy to be part of it.

Bringing together contemporary Finnish design, architecture and emerging creative voices, the exhibition expands the Nourishment theme of Sälä Magazine’s third issue into a spatial experience.

For Secto Design, taking part is also about being part of the Finnish design community and encouraging the next generation of designers.

SäläSalonki is open throughout the weekend in the former social facilities of the Hanasaari power plant – a fascinating space opened to the public for the first time this summer.

This September at Habitare, see Secto Design from two different perspectives.

Forms of Light brings together recent additions to our lighting collection alongside established designs, exploring the forms, scales and applications that have defined its evolution.

Nearby, The Making of Light turns the perspective around. An installation by London-based architecture and design practice Conran and Partners interprets some of the elements that have shaped Secto Design's identity: Finnish birch, skilled making, and the distinctive qualities of northern nature and light.

Together, the two stands move from finished forms to the materials and inspiration behind them – a shift in perspective that echoes Habitare’s 2026 theme, Plot Twists.

Finnish design is built through dialogue – between generations, perspectives and new ideas.

This August, Secto Design takes part in SäläSalonki, an exhibition by Sälä Magazine and the nomadic gallery Salonki that brings together contemporary Finnish design, architecture and emerging creative voices.

Set in the former social facilities of the Hanasaari power plant – opened to the public for the first time this summer – the exhibition expands the Nourishment theme of Sälä Magazine’s third issue into a spatial experience.

Being part of this collaboration is a way for us to contribute to the Finnish design community and support the next generation of designers. We look forward to seeing different voices, ideas and generations come together in this unique setting.

August in Finland marks a subtle shift.

The endless midsummer light gradually softens, and life slowly transitions from the summer cottage back to the city.

Wherever the season takes us, wood maintains a quiet connection to nature—bringing warmth, texture and a sense of calm to interior spaces.

Secto Design luminaires are all handmade in Finland, from locally sourced, certified birch.
