In keeping with our 1976 throwbacks, here's the highlights from September 1976🇺🇸

In history 🚀 On September 17, NASA publicly unveiled its first space shuttle, the
Enterprise during a ceremony in Palmdale, California

In Sports 🥊 On September 28th , Muhammad Ali vs Ken Northon 3 rd – Muhammad Ali defended his heavyweight boxing title at Yankee Stadium winning a hard-fought
unanimous decision in their 3 rd and final bout

On the tube 📺 “Charlie’s Angels” debuted on ABC turning Farrah Fawcett, Kate
Jackson and Jaclyn Smith into overnight global superstars!

On the big screen 🎥 “Bugsy Malone” with Jodie Foster was number one at the
domestic box office.

In Music 🎶 In the month of September 1976, three songs led the charts across all
genre’s! The Bee Gees with “You should Be Dancing”, KC & the Sunshine Band with “Shake Shake Shake – Shake your Booty” and Wild Cherry with “Play that Funky
Music!” by @sectwomensnetwork

Happy Autumnal Equinox 🍂🍁

Whether you are mourning summer or looking forward to the cooler days, the inevitable change is upon us. The leaves are beginning to turn and a crispness has entered the air. 🌾
Equinox means "equal night" and today is the day that light and dark are balanced.🌚🌝
Enjoy your bountiful harvest and now prepare for the coming dark which is the natural balance to the light. by @sectwomensnetwork

Last month, Kathy Greene reminded us of something that has been at the heart of the Southeastern Connecticut Women’s Network for 50 years: we’re stronger when we lift each other up. 💙

We show up. We support each other. We celebrate each other’s wins. And when things get tough, we have each other’s backs.

As we continue celebrating 50 years of women connecting, growing, and supporting one another, we’re looking forward to hearing from our founder, Mildred Devine, at our September luncheon.

Don’t forget to register by Monday at 9 AM and join us for another special chapter in our 50th anniversary year!

Whether you're setting a price for your services negotiating a salary, asking for a raise, or deciding whether to take on a project, pause and ask:
What is my contribution really worth?

Your experience has 🌟VALUE🌟
Your creativity has 🌟VALUE🌟
Your knowledge has 🌟VALUE🌟

Don't confuse being generous with undervaluing yourself🌻
Share below any insights you've had along the way!
