Haa jaanu(quick one)
Ok Jaanu is a modern urban love story that explores relationships without commitment. The film follows Adi and Tara, two ambitious youngsters who move to Mumbai with career goals and decide to live together with a “no-strings-attached” agreement.
The chemistry between Aditya Roy Kapur and Shraddha Kapoor is natural and breezy, making their casual romance feel believable. Their performances are relaxed, especially in emotional moments, though the characters don’t have much depth beyond their career-driven mindsets.
The music by A. R. Rahman is the biggest strength of the film. Songs like “Enna Sona” and “OK Jaanu Title Track” add soul and freshness, enhancing the romantic vibe. Visually, the film captures Mumbai beautifully with a youthful, colorful tone.
However, the story feels predictable and lacks the emotional impact of its Tamil original OK Kanmani. Some scenes feel stretched, and the second half becomes repetitive. The film plays it safe and doesn’t explore live-in relationships as deeply as it could have.

Some love stories are meant to stay forever… even when the people in them can’t.

Aashiqui 2 isn’t just a love story. It’s music, devotion, pain, sacrifice, and two people trying to hold on to each other while life slowly pulls them apart.

Rahul and Aarohi — a love that felt like home, sounded like music, and ended like a heartbreak you never completely recover from. 🥀🎶

A love story that still hurts, even after all these years.

All i need is to end up like ok jaanu😭💗
Okay Jaanu (2017) 🫶🏼🎬

Review:
Okay Jaanu is a soft, modern love story about two people who initially want a no-strings-attached relationship but slowly realize that feelings don't always follow the rules we make for them. 🌙❤️

Aditya Roy Kapur and Shraddha Kapoor have a natural chemistry, and the Mumbai setting gives the movie a warm, youthful vibe. The music—especially “Humma Humma” and “Enna Sona”—adds a lot to its romantic atmosphere.

The story is simple, but its charm comes from the little moments: late-night conversations, living together, misunderstandings, and gradually understanding what love actually means.

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐½/5
Not a perfect love story, but definitely a cozy one. 🫶🏼

Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa is a beautifully restrained love story directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon, starring Silambarasan and Trisha.

🎬 Review — Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa

Rating: ⭐ 4.5/5

The film isn't really about a perfect love story. It's about wanting someone, misunderstanding each other, waiting, and realizing that love doesn't always give you the ending you imagined.

Karthik and Jessie feel believable because their relationship isn't written like a typical cinematic romance. Their personalities, family situation, religious differences, and uncertainty constantly affect their choices. Silambarasan's controlled performance and Trisha's subtle expressions make their chemistry one of the film's biggest strengths.

And then there's A.R. Rahman's music. Hosanna, Aaromale, and the background score aren't just songs placed between scenes—they become part of the emotional atmosphere of the film. The cinematography, especially the Kerala portions, adds to that dreamy quality.

The main weakness is the slow pace, particularly in parts of the second half. Several contemporary reviews also noted that the screenplay could have been tighter there.

❤️ Final thoughts

VTV feels less like watching a love story and more like remembering one.

It's the kind of movie where the songs, places, conversations, silences, and unfinished feelings stay with you after the credits.

“Some love stories don't end. They just become memories.”

**Verdict: 4.5/5 ⭐**

🎬 DC is a 2026 Indian Tamil-language romantic action film directed by Arun Matheswaran in his directorial venture following Captain Miller. Produced by Sun Pictures, the film marks acclaimed filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj's debut in a lead acting role as Devadas "Das", starring alongside Wamiqa Gabbi as Chandra, with Sanjana Krishnamoorthy, Kasthuri Raja, and Thalaivasal Vijay in key supporting roles. The soundtrack and score were composed by Anirudh Ravichander, with cinematography by Mukesh G and editing by Prasanna GK. The title DC serves as an initialism for the lead characters' names, Das and Chandra.

The story follows Devadas, a brooding vigilante outlaw driven by a strict moral code, who operates outside the law after an estranged past. His path collides with Chandra, a woman trapped in a cycle of exploitation and violence. Bound by mutual trauma and a shared desire for retribution, the duo joins forces to wage a relentless, bloody war of revenge against corrupt police officials and criminal networks that have failed and brutalized them.

As the narrative unfolds, the film explores heavy themes of anti-establishment rage, sacrifice, found family, and complex moral ambiguity. Drawing inspiration from Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay's Devdas and the story of Bonnie and Clyde, the narrative focuses on the volatile, unconventional bond between two damaged individuals in a hyper-stylized world where violence becomes their only form of survival.
