I’m beyond thankful for my boys and the life I share with them! My favorite thing to do is our holiday photos and we were blessed to do them twice this year. We’re sooooo proud of you, @ainsleygnash ! Today, we watched our Goddaughter, Baby Button, make a public profession of her faith through baptism 🌊 and we did so with much love 🩷, joy 😁 and celebration 🥳! 50 years of Covenant Church!! Oh, the memories we’ve made throughout our years as part of this church! My family came in 1989. After mom heard Pastor Mike on the radio, she had to come and hear in person for herself! We were hooked from the start! The relationships built through trust, love, faithfulness, and years of doing life together have shaped me and helped fashion the woman I am today.

I’m forever grateful for my church and the role it has played in my life. It’s where I learned to know and love Jesus more deeply. It’s where I’ve been challenged, stretched, discipled, and grown. It’s where I met my husband. It’s where I found countless friends who became family. It’s where I was ordained into ministry and where so much of God’s calling on my life was nurtured and encouraged.

When I look back, so many of the very best things in my life are connected to this church and the people God placed in my life through it.

What a gift it has been to call Covenant home. I’m so incredibly thankful for the years, the memories, the people, and most of all, for the faithfulness of God woven through it all.

Happy 50 years, Covenant Church! What a legacy. And what a joy to have been part of the story. This last week and all the reunions have made my heart so full! by @sed6606

I’ve been noticing a pattern… 👀

Couples who serve together or have been married a while have a way of showing up in matching colors, coordinated outfits, having the same mannerisms or somehow dressing in the exact same vibe. 😂 @pdanielsii ALWAYS wants to match me! 😩😬🤣

Well, this post started out one way and went a whole different direction!
Today marks the end of an unexpectedly sweet season! Two months ago started with laying down a dream that I had my whole life. On Mother’s Day weekend, I surrendered my dream of having natural children as I underwent surgery for a hysterectomy. God did heal me, just not in the way I had planned. When I thought all hope was lost, that I would be consumed with compounded grief after losing my mama in December, disappointment and unhappiness, the Lord in his kindness met me with so much love, joy and contentment! I was surrounded with more love than I even thought possible. My community stepped in in ways I didn’t know I needed! I am beyond grateful for all of my friends and family - my people, who have stepped in to show me the beauty that is my life, and that truly is all around me! The Lord in this season reminded me who holds the pen and who is writing my story! He reminded me that I can trust Him with every detail and that He really is good! I’m just so thankful for Jesus and how He turns our mourning into joy and gives us beauty for our ashes! He’s renewed my hope and let me know that He’s not done with me yet.
Thank you so much to our community who showed up with encouragement, gift cards, meals, coffee, flowers, gifts, food, you name it!!
Thank you Pastor Alicia (@longevity_relationships)for getting into the weeds with me and helping me process!
Thank you so much to my husband who got the caregiving job done even if he did feed me paper here and there. @pdanielsii, you’re still the best!!
I’m so so so thankful to be on the other side of this journey and know that God is still up to something and it’s not what I thought it would be but it’ll be better than I imagined!!! To everyone - I love you! Thank you for being part of our community!
