A Hunter Killer of immense strength and speed the Giant house spider.
The giant house spider (Eratigena atrica) is a carnivore that primarily eats household insects and small invertebrates. They act as natural pest controllers inside homes by weaving sheet-like funnel webs in dark corners to trap their prey.Their regular diet includes a variety of common pests:Flying Insects: Flies, Moths, and Mosquitoes, and many crawling pests like Ants, Cockroaches, Earwigs, Fleas, and Beetles. Including other Invertebrates: Crickets, Woodlice, and Mealworms.
Female giant house spiders will often eat the male spiders after they finish mating in the late summer and autumn.
Spiderlings may also eat one another if food resources are scarce.
They do not chew their food. Instead, they dart out to bite their prey, injecting a paralysing venom and digestive enzymes that liquefy the insect’s insides. The spider then drinks the liquefied contents, leaving behind an empty exoskeleton shell.
Both males and females are highly resilient and can survive for several months without food or water if necessary.
So a great creature to have around the house exterminating the unwanted.

Trying out two 10 metre cheap sets of LED strip lights from Amazon, for my studio display shelf. I needed to test the best course of direction to weave and loop the strips around. Before I invest in a decent kit and diffuser tracts✌️😜

“Skirr Málmr Mánadagr”
AKA “Bright Metal Moonday” in Old Norse.

Celebrating Citadel and Marauder
Miniatures designers and sculptors, details, posing and character brought to life in lead or pewter.

Showcasing their designs and
craftsmanship before we apply our chosen paint schemes.

This Gem in my relic collection from Citadel Miniatures 1996 era second edition Warhammer 40,000 metal Chaos Terminator, this among several different designs were primarily sculpted by Jes Goodwin and Bob Naismith, who were key sculptors for Games Workshop during that time heavily influenced by the legendary John Blanche’s distinctive, grim dark, disturbing, grotesque and fantastic inspirational one of a kind detailed work.

In Norse mythology, the moon is personified as the god Máni, who guides its path across the sky in a horse-drawn chariot. His story, along with his sister Sól (the sun), explains lunar cycles, eclipses, and the ultimate fate of the world during Ragnarök.

As of 5th of January the first Mánadagr of 2026.

In the Uk the moon will be in a Waning Gibbous phase,
moonrise will be at 18:47pm and will set at 09:46am.

The full moon for January 2026 has been and gone on the 3rd of this month.

The new moon phase will occur on 18th January 2026 rising at 08:16 am.

A homage to all things in my possession concerning Tolkien.

My fourth book instalment is this gem
The unfinished Tales.

First published in Great Britain by George Allen & Unwin 1980.

My present copy is the 1998 edition.

Tolkien’s Unfinished Tales covers
Númenor and Middle-earth a published collection of Tolkien’s incomplete narratives and essays, edited by his son Christopher Tolkien, filling in gaps between lore of The Silmarillion and The Lord of the Rings, covering events from the days of the Elder, Rohan’s founding, Numenor’s history, and details on the five Wizards of middle earth, serving as essential background for lovers of the world of Tolkien.

Thanks to family for my new Christmas Gift.😛

The Kelermorph in Warhammer 40,000 universe is a legendary, tri-armed gunslinger and revolutionary hero for the Genestealer Cults, appearing as a charismatic, three-legged, three-armed hybrid who inspires rebellion against oppressive regimes, but is actually a genetically engineered psychic puppet of the Tyranid Hive Mind, designed to sow chaos and bolster the cult’s ranks through cult-like fervor and seemingly miraculous shooting skills. They’re essentially Genestealer Cults iconic “cowboy” figure, embodying hope for the downtrodden while being a cold-blooded killer for the xenos threat.

Two Gems from Citadel Miniatures in my collection:

The Absolute Pinocle Chaos Terminator Lord for me,
Sculpted by the Legendary Mark Harrison first released around 2006.

This miniature is supplied with four weapons. A Demon Power Sword, Combi-Weapon, Lightning Power Claw and a Plasma Gun Arm. (*This weapon is not shown in the post because l’ve used it for my own Terminator Lord Conversion coming soon*)

He is adorned with both skull trophies on chains, and atop a spiked trophy rack. A horned chest plate, ornate armour, a fixed helmeted head and a battle worn cloak.

In Norse mythology, the moon is personified as the god Máni, who guides its path across the sky in a horse-drawn chariot. His story, along with his sister Sól (the sun), explains lunar cycles, eclipses, and the ultimate fate of the world during Ragnarök.

As of December 29th the Laaaassst Mánadagr of 2025.

In the Uk the moon will be in a Waxing Gibbous phase,
moonrise will be at 11:55am and will set at 01:57am.

The approaching next full moon will be on Saturday 3rd of January 2026.

The new moon phase will occur on 18th January 2026 rising at 08:16 am.

A gem of a Citadel miniature in my collection.

A Champion of Khorne sculptured by the legend Jes Goodwin as part of the Realm of Chaos range.

This miniature is armed with a bladed mace, a tech weapon and adorns a snake horned helm, with a spiked studded replacement leg.

Its WhiteDwarf Catalog number is 021900.

In Norse mythology, the moon is personified as the god Máni, who guides its path across the sky in a horse-drawn chariot. His story, along with his sister Sól (the sun), explains lunar cycles, eclipses, and the ultimate fate of the world during Ragnarök.

As of November 3rd 2025, in the UK, the moon is in a Waxing Gibbons phase, moonrise will be at 15:54 and will set at 07:01the next morning.

The approaching the next full moon on Wōdnesdæg the 5th November. The new moon phase will occur on Wōdnesdæg 19th November rising at 06:52

Introducing my new feature Oðinns Big T Wōdnesdæg.

A homage to all things in my possession concerning Tolkien.

My third book instalment is this gem The Silmarillion.

First published in 1977 by George Allen and Unwin publications London United Kingdom.

My present copy is the 1978 edition.

The Silmarillion is a collection of
J.R.R. Tolkien’s myths and legends about the history of his world, Arda, from its creation to
the end of the Third Age.

J.R.R. Tolkien worked on the legends that would become The Silmarillion throughout his entire life, but he never completed a definitive final version.

The material existed as a “vast repository and labyrinth of story, of poetry, of philosophy, and of philology,” J.R.R Tolkien constantly revised and tinkered with his stories over decades, leaving behind many parallel and contradictory versions.

Edited and published by his son Christopher Tolkien with help from fantasy author Guy Gavriel Kay in 1977, the book includes tales from the First, Second, and Third Ages, and it primarily focus on the First Age, and features the creation of the world, the creation of the Silmarils, and the wars that followed in their wake.
The name “Silmarillion” comes from the Silmarils, three powerful jewels created by the elf Fianor.

It consists of five parts, considered books in their own right”Ainulindalë” (the creation myth), the “Valaquenta” (account of the Valar and Maiar), the “Quenta Silmarillion” (history of the first age).

It covers the ancient history of Middle-earth, including events that happened long before the stories in The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings.
